Born, October 21st 1976 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. According to friends and family, Maria Leticia Manfil was ready since birth to take on the world. Raised in humble surroundings, she always found ways to entertain herself as well as the people around her. Music had always been very present, from her father playing guitar, to happy gatherings next to a good old B.B.Q. full of song and dance. At the tender age of seven, Leticia tragically lost her biggest fan…her mother. Her father, crushed by the loss, decided a change of scenery would be better so they moved to Brazil. Both he and Leticia would stay there for two years after which they returned to their native land. Leticia had always wanted a set of drums and that's exactly what she got, she taught herself to play and it was clear from that moment on, there was no other choice…she would become a musician...She attended the School of Arts in Buenos Aires, where she studied acting, singing, and music. It didn't take long before she composed her first song, rebelliously titled "I Don't Care". With blind ambition she formed her own band by the name of "Monte de Venus" comprised of four women. Although the project was short lived, Leticia kept on going and decided to perform in and around Buenos Aires playing percussions and singing, all the while building quite a fan base. Leticia thought to herself it was time to move on. She decided to visit Miami. After a short introduction to the city of music and lights, she met Juan Pablo Guevara a young Chilean guitar player. The couple decided to go back to their roots in South America and moved to Chile. They started spending more and more time together in a studio environment and immediately began writing and composing.Young but thankfully experienced Juan Pablo saw the obvious potential in Leticia and soon after they formed a group aptly baptized "BIG BANG." They then independently released a Spanish album called "VOLUNTAD" from which sprung a wonderfully unique video for the song "EL DRAGON", the latter was good enough to receive rotation play on MTV-Latin America. Leticia remained in Chile for two years performing at different venues and signed a sponsorship contract with SWATCH the famed watch company in return for branding and very appreciated visibility due to Leticia's ever present sex appeal.Our rising star felt she could do more. Her only desire was to be on stage, performing and entertaining. She decided to visit Miami once again, where she met Martin Cintron, founder and lead singer, guitarist, of the widely popular group, "No Mercy". They quickly collaborated on different projects, as well as performing together in Curacao in September of 2004.Recently, Leticia founded Letty Music Ltd. a concept which fuses her singing and phenomenal percussive abilities may it be Djembe or Congas, with carefully selected house music pieces.She currently performs in some of the best clubs and events in the world, such as: Time supper club, Club "U", UpperClub, La Station, Moomba Supper Club, "1234" de la Montagne and many more all in Montreal. She added to her repertoire International legendary venues Nikki Beach (Marbella, Spain), Pacha (Ibiza, Spain)... Never settling for "good enough", she brings other elements to spice up her performances, such as: violinists, saxophonists, singers and dancers to name but a few, hence creating jobs and entertaining an ever-growing and demanding audience.Leticia currently lives in Canada with her husband, working often amongst others with the world renowned "Cirque du Soleil" providing unforgetable and much talked about performances, whether it be at Guy Laliberte's home in St. Bruno as part of his lengedary F1 parties or many of the pre-premiere events held during the unveiling of new shows at the Old Port in Montreal. In the spring of 2006, Leticia proudly collaborated on four songs with music legend Lionel Richie as part of his long awaited new release. She is and remains a quintessential and driving force for what is expected to be the "best work Lionel Richie has done since the early 90's".
