No. I'm not from the first world. Nor do i wish i was.
I've been so blessed to be born into a family of shakers, of leaders not followers, of people who learn and apply their knowledge in ways that not only benefit themselves, but benefit everyone.
I've been so blessed to be born into a country and a culture with such a rich history, and with so much potential.
I've been so blessed to be born with a mind, and with courage to try make a difference.
I PROMISE you. My voice WILL be heard. Can't afford a microphone? Powercut? No problem. I will fucking shout it from the ROOFTOPS.
If you are given a position of power you need to not be selfish enough to merely exploit it for your own benefit. If you don't think you can handle this, i suggest you take up some other post.
I think that after literally centuries of having our land and people raped, exploited, abused, and generally fucked over, the World's SuperPowers need to STEP UP. and take care of the nations it so badly harmed.
Nations like Jamaica. Nations like Haiti. Nations like Guyana. CONTINENTS LIKE AFRICA.
I think that these aforementioned SuperPowers need to properly educate their young, instead of indoctrinating them into the same twisted system of taking and taking without every giving anything back. I think they need to stop helping in theory, but actually help in practice.
I think that something has to be done. And I know there are other people out there who are trying, and who are aware, and i'm so thankful for people like that.
But, i'd like to let you all know, here on the petty, childish world of MySpace. That i'm serious, and that even if no one else will - i will try to make a difference, I'll use every talent i have to promote the cause of Globalization and it's detrimental effects on developing nations.
Seriously. Watch out.
