The 1290 Mission is one person... Justin Johnson. He was Born and grew up in Atlanta, GA. He started spinnin records in 1994. Starting out on plastic belt driven turntables, and a little two channel mixer, He would spin at every house party within a 100 mile radius.. And if there wasnt a house party going on to spin at, He would make one. He originally started out spinnin drum 'n' bass, and jungle for most of his career. Around 8 years or so. Did alot of small local events during that time. Around the age of 17, he started composing some breaks and drum 'n' bass tracks. Got out a small handful of cd's and handed them out around town and gradually was booked to spin at some larger events. Around 2002, he decided to retire the Drum 'n' Bass collection and shift to somethin that was a little more versatile. Somethin that could reach a larger audience.... House. He is now known to have a versatile mix between dark tribal proggressive, electro house, and breaks. Very driving tracks with heavy basslines and dark sexy vocals that are sure to make anyone around to hear it move to the beat. He is now hitting the city of Atlanta hard with his powerful driving dj style and leaving no one behind.
