About Me

A founding member of Transfer To, The Plaid Verbs, and other even less successful band attempts, I just couldn't get enough of making music. So I started writing my own solo stuff, and I performed mostly at school Coffee Houses and occasionally at a local open mic night. I recorded an album worth of songs in 2006 and 2007 and released it early 2007 for sale only by ordering it online (or knowing me personally). I will try to figure out a more accessible way of getting it out there eventually. In the meantime, I have written and recorded a handful of new songs, that are more acoustic, generally, and I have decided to compile them into a smaller "album", though it is not available for sale at this point. They are just songs I recorded on my laptop in my bedroom anyway, so I will let you just download them (because they aren't worth anything). What I am really hoping to focus on soon is performing, so if anyone in the Guelph area likes what I do and would like me to play sometime, email me at [email protected]. Cheers.

My Interests

Music:

Band Website: youtube.com/paisleymacleod
Band Members: Paisley MacLeod - vocals, guitar, bass, arranging drums
Influences: Everything I listen to is an influence, so is everything I watch and read and experience. Though my biggest influence is Barenaked Ladies. They are the reason I got into music (so blame them) and they are the greatest band of all time.
Sounds Like: One of the voices in Transfer To and the singer from The Plaid Verbs. Maybe you should check out those bands too, hint hint.

You can find more of my songs on my purevolume page.
Record Label: Kabunk! (which doesn't really exist, so, none.)
