Since only Velvet Code runs its myspace page, it does get hard to reply to everyone, we want to thank anyone and everyone who writes us and we love hearing from all of you, we will try our very best to reply to everyone! Electro synth pop sensation Velvet Code first surfaced in 2007 on it's own independent label, Velvet Code Records. This group of fun loving, energetic electro rockers bring a playful blend of crisp, bright synthetic sounds to dark and distorted melodies and lyrics. During recent live shows at the Knitting Factory, The Delancey and Fearless Music TV, they packed enough energy to even tire a house full of teenagers.
IT'S TIME TO MEET VELVET CODE: Produced by frontman Marlon, the band includes Nick on Synth/Keytar, and Ryan on drums/percussion.
The band's debut single, "Trust Fund Girl" was released in January 2008 on iTunes and was met with critical acclaim. With over 5,000 plays a day on myspace and a strong team of Street Team Members, Velvet Code is quickly making their mark. The band was also ranked 1 on the electronic charts of Reverbnation in February 2008 and has been featured on various podcasts around the world including Dalecast, and MostPeopleAreDJs.
Velvet Code is working feverishly with Ollie Hammett and Mark Saunders (Shiny Toy Guns) for their upcoming album which will be released in the fall.

Band Members: Marlon lies on his bed and thinks about his life and comes up with lyrics and melodies. To make sure he doesn't take himself too seriously, he'll play around with a MarkIV and Korg Triton to get out of himself. Sometimes he'll pull a flute or accordion out of his pocket, since his dad played the accordion and all he heard was polka music all day long. Apparently, it's in his blood. Ryan hears things, but mostly beats and sounds. Our favorite part of rehearsal is when Ryan starts playing some kick ass drum loop and gets all loopy, while Nick and I jam. Nick is our synth mizer. He loves tripping out on his Microkorg and Triton, making weird sounds that no one's ever heard. Kick ass programmer with skeeeels!
