About Me

I approach most situations similar to the way a cat would. I never jump on something until I've pawed at it a few times. Touch it, examine it, lick it (haha)...then attack! I must be absolutely positive before I jump in. I don't lay all my cards out on the table. Maybe sometimes I think about things too much. I can drive myself absolutely nuts, but at least I'm always generating new ideas. I need to learn how to put my excess energy and creativity to good use.

My Interests

music, fashion, thinking about going to the gym

I'd like to meet:

People who can help me put my excess energy and creativity to good use, dirty skaters, DJs and someone who owns a piano.

Music:

Right now I'm into Biffy Clyro...I'm addicted! The new Tori Amos is also pretty amazing. Some favorites include Elliott Smith, Interpol, Pretty Girls Make Graves, Chemical Brothers, Doves, The Stills, Goldfrapp, Beck, Cat Stevens, Wilco and Air. I also always love good techno, breaks and dark house...oh, and classical.

Movies:

A Beautiful Mind, Kids, Donnie Darko, Summer of Sam, Dead Poets Society, Garden State, El Callejon de los Milagros.

Heroes:

My mother, Barbara Kearns

the present

There's an underwhelming sadness (as I like to call it) that follows me through life. It's doesn't put a damper on my happiness and it doesn't prevent me from feeling hopeful about life, yet it's alwa...

the homeless in the subway

There are two homeless people who frequent the Times Square downtown NRQW platform. One is this elderly black man who I guess is an artist gone mad. He scribbles these drawings that look something lik...

deep thought .1

I feel like I spent 15 through 25 trying to get out of my mind and now all I'm trying to do is get back in. Ironic how these things work, no?
