Clarence "Tex" Texada

Clarence "Tex" Texada was born and raised in Houston, TX. Tex started playing the piano at the age of 13. Classically trained by his private instructor, and he taught himself how to understand jazz by listening to other artists. Tex listened to George Duke, Joe Sample, and Bob James all through his high school years trying to learn what they did. While receiving a music education degree at Prairie View A&M University. He also a member of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Professional Musician Fraternity. After graduation Tex headed to Dallas, TX to be an educator in music.
