About Us:
Central Arkansas Paranormal Society (C.A.P.S.) started in May of 2005. Our goal is to have a good time investigating paranormal activity while obtaining the most substantial proof of evidence for others to see. The integrity of our group is very important to us. We will try to debunk any and all evidence before posting it. Of course, almost everything is disputable. There are times when you would have to be there to be sure, know beyond a shadow of a doubt, that the event was something paranormal. Everything you will see and hear on this site was unable to be debunked. We feel, because we were there when the evidence was collected that it is paranormal but cannot make the claim because investigating paranormal activity is not an exact science yet.
One of the reasons we investigate paranormal activity is because we find it enjoyable and relaxing. We are a group of friends with the same interests getting together and having an exciting time collecting evidence and documenting experiences, however we do maintain a serious professional and scientific approach. We don't allow any partying or goofing off during the actual investigations. We have group meetings as friends and share experiences, evidence, food and laughter. We all accept each other as we are and we each use whatever equipment we are most comfortable with to investigate. We are composed of people of all ages, religions, talents, gifts, and are open to other nationalities as well.
We allow guests to come along on our investigations as long as they are over 18 years old. It doesn't matter whether you have ever been on an investigation, are a seasoned investigator, are from another group, or are freelancing, you are welcome to join us. We have no secrets other than those of a few of our contacts who wish to remain anonymous. If we are permitted to open a door to a new location for investigations, we will share it for all the other groups to investigate as long as we know they will use a professional attitude for investigating. None of us need any doors closed for us. There are not enough places here in Arkansas for the seriously interested groups to investigate.
We are a sharing group. All we ask is when one of us posts something that someone else obtained, credit should always be included naming the person it belongs to, along with the group name associated with the investigation and where it was obtained if applicable. Realistically, we know it's inevitable that the best evidence is going to get passed around without credits. All we can do is put it out there and hope it remains credited. Not everyone can afford to copyright every scrap of evidence they get. The way we see it, the more of your findings you can put out there to be seen by all, the better. Some of the best paranormal videos, photos, and recordings are out there on the internet for all to see and use at their leisure, unfortunately very few of them include their sources.
We will not put any member of our group on a pedestal for their talents or gifts. Everyone has a gift or talent and we all use them to try to get the most substantial evidence we can. Every individual in our group is important to the group. Our group will never be focused on any one person. For us, it's all about the experience and documenting credible paranormal evidence so that others may see it. Someday this evidence may help in achieving an exact science for paranormal occurrences or at least an understanding of it.
