About Me

Stupid Story of the Month:It has become evident over the past few bike seasons that I have mastered the art known as “jumping the gun.” Just the other day, I set out to conquer the trail the Tyrolean Downhill. Rumor had it some guy pedaled it and said, “It was sick.” First of all, I should have known better than to trust anybody who uses terminology such as “sick” and “dude,” but often the case with me, I’ve got to check things out myself. It all started out delightfully, as the beginnings of disastrous events usually do. The sun was warm against my backside. The birds were conducting the sweetest of melodies. And my bike seemed to be switching between its gears effortlessly. The planets were aligned, and I was having a ball. But, as many of us know, every ying has its yang, and as I whipped around the corner of a northeast facing slope, two feet of snow engulfed the front tire of my bike, throwing the remainder (me) face-first into the snow.It was fun, actually. I sat there in the snow, laughing to myself about how typical this was for me. Every season has its “early season conditions,” and whether its two feet of snow I have to push my bike through for a half a mile or logs, rocks, and grass I’ve got to hurl my skis over, the same thing happens to me every early season. Moral of my story? If you’re going to jump the gun, understand that it’s ok to enjoy adverse conditions but please refrain from falsely declaring them “sick” or “wicked.” Bad conditions are bad conditions, period.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

People fascinate me. And I love them for that reason. As a teenager, one of my favorite things was flying back and forth between Lake Tahoe and New England, spending countless hours on airplanes next to complete strangers and sitting at the gate of your connecting flight, watching individuals and families embark on their own personal journeys. What I have found is people carry with them amazing stories, and if you have the patience enough to listen to them, they will open up their heart to you and provide you an opportunity to temporarily live vicariously through them. I love people. And I love the stories and wisdom they have to share.Although its been some years since I’ve bounced between East and West Coasts, I’ve found the type of people that attract me most are independent, strong willed, free thinking people that live in a world of question, not answers. I want to meet the type of people who like to dream big and have the desire to live life by their own standards. Life’s too short to be ruled by someone else’s thumb. That’s why I became a doer, a person who empowers themselves and his or her friends to be able to whatever they want, whenever they want.
