About Me
********WE-ARE-serious! We stumble, fall, and kick off our vintage designer heels 'cause doing it barefoot rocks. We write, play, sing, draw. End of 2003: moving from the visuals to the electrics and naked voices, Gam and Simone climbed on a small stage, played guitar (at some point with a brush ---- could't shake off our 'fine arts' heritage) and we worked with what we were lacking. It became our anthem: 'Just Walking Through The Mud, Really. What Are Skills Anyway? See You Around.' It's monotonous, repetitive and very, very seeeerious. Our words emerge from the swampy affair between guitar and bass, working toward a quiet spot, a space for improvisation. (And then we fail...... or we don't. It's all about the subject that we choose to mirror on.) We sometimes work with the occasional drummer boy, but we prefer doing it on our own. Things can get complicated with more than two persons involved, you know... anyway. Don't know if this is rock 'n roll, but it seems like unpolished and articulate freedom to us, at its very least.

"THE ATTRACTIVES"
Where are you gonna go on a cold Friday night? Exactly, a smalltown art/pop*festival that brings together visual art and ..... music, sort of. Bright red sprayed guitar mobile. Shy singersongwriters. A sound engineer with an authentic rock explosion for a hairdo. Beer coupons. Dreaming of the future. Kissing outside. All this took place at The Fenix, Sittard (NL) 2007
"OLD DIRTY CARPET ROCK"
During the opening of Gam's exhibition at Amsterdam gallery Buro Empty she dragged me up the stairs, into the main space and put me onto a customised stage, threw a guitar at me and ordered me to sing. No wait, she asked me nicely if I remember well.... this song is called 'the green and the dark' it's about trying not to lose your grip and the fact that EVERYONE IS ALONE IN THIS WEIRD LIFE AND ALTHOUGH YOU'RE THE ONE STANDING FIERCELY ON A WOODEN CRATE YOU FEEL ENVY LIKE POISON DRIPPING DOWN BECAUSE YOU COULD ONLY WISH TO BE ABLE TO DANCE LIKE THAT LITTLE GIRL, LIGHT AS A FEATHER AND COOL AS SHIT AND STUFF! (si-i-i-iiii-igh)
"THE GREEN AND THE DARK"
November 24th 2006 we played at the Boijmans van Beuningen museum in Rotterdam, where Erik van Lieshout opened his fucking cool solo show. We kinda expected to be playing in the middle of his wild installations but instead we were put in some sort of cage....??!! Weird, but somehow extremely fitting..... And thank you Buck, for your nice footage! (and your car, and your eternal luv'.)
"WHITE LEATHER JACKET"
Gam happened to be in this group show in Amsterdam (gallery Buro Empty) and I don't remember if we had dinner at the Indian place or the Thai across the street..... something with spinach -- ah that must have been Indian. Yummy! We did the Thai when Gam had her solo show at the gallery. I went there over and over (the Thai I mean), because SOMEONE made that place her favorite restaurant EVER so everytime when I was in Amsterdam I HAD to go and eat there. And I mean EVERYTIME. And I fucking LOVED it.
