Why Palominostar?Depending on the country “palomino” is a horse color or a breed. The characteristic palomino color is that of a newly minted fourteen-karat gold coin with variations from light to dark. This connection is an interesting fact - after all this is all about jewellery.But I chose the name because of something different:One of my all time favorite songs is “palomino” from Duran Duran published in 1988. Turn the lights down low, relax and listen: That’ll give you the creeps. It is song No. 7 on the album “Big Thing“.And this is what palominostar means to me: A big thing, my star. Something, I always wanted to do in my life. Jewellery that is designed individually for one very special person. Something that strikes a chord deeply inside. “If there is heaven, she gets to the heart…”Warum Palominostar?Palomino ist je nach Land die Bezeichnung einer Pferderasse bzw. eines Farbtyps. Die Farbe des Fells ähnelt der einer frisch geprägten 14-Karat Goldmünze. Eine hübsche Parallele, schließlich geht es um Schmuck.Ausschlaggebend war dennoch etwas anderes:Eines meiner absoluten Lieblingslieder ist “Palomino” von Duran Duran aus dem Jahre 1988. Licht dimmen, ruhig hinsetzen, zuhören und Gänsehaut bekommen. Es ist Lied Nr. 7 auf dem Album “Big Thing“.Und genau das ist Palominostar für mich, eine große Sache, mein Stern. Etwas, was ich schon mein Leben lang machen wollte. Schmuck, der individuell zur Person paßt, der innerlich berührt. “If there is heaven, she gets to the heart…”
