Sergio P started very young his career of DJ in the underground world. At the age of seventeen he is part of the Pacha Club of Zaragoza where it starts and organizes his first experience in Ibiza with his hot’s party’s as dj and event’s organizer. This was his best school. It was the passion for the dance-floors that draws his energy, he was feeling comfortable with dance floor with his energy. But he imposes his sound tendencies quickly, mainly in Spain, Swiss and USA- in Argentina, in Mexico, in Serbia and France where it makes various appearances and sets. As of this time, he weaves with these countries many bonds for the future. The musical adventure and his career lead him, from 1989 to 1991, in Los Angeles where he integrates the House scene of the Californian coast to one of the main Clubs: “Stock exchange”. He settles finally a few years in Spain where he honed his skills at the underground raves and warehouse parties.Back in Geneva, it joined the team of the Bypass Club where, during three years , he manages the artistic bookings and relationships of the great names of the international scene, like Little Louie Vega, George Morel, Sandy Rivera, Steve " Silk " Hurley, Brian Tappert, DJ Gregory, Freddy Turner, Terry Hunter, Victor Simonelli, Ricky Morrison and the vocalists House Barbara Tucker, Dawn Tallman and Thea Austin and many more. Little later he created “Crossing Sounds”, his own agency specialized in the organization of events, of bookings of dj' s and electronic productions. On 2002 it integrates the label Perceptible Records with the goal to discover and promote artists of different horizons. Their musical production, largely impregnated of the Progressive-House, flirted skillfully with the Deep-Underground, the Tribal one, the Minimal one and the Electro one, withal his rich sounds, intense, cordial and rhythmic. Their style, conveys with talent imagination and emotion, therefore Sergio P impose himself quickly on the market of musical industry and is currently a key figure of the Swiss electronic music community. The label and artists producers sharing the same philosophy and having same musical curiosity. From Djinn to visual switching thru the creation of original musical titles, Perceptible Records created a compilations available on CD, Vinyl or DVD. Referring to the promotion, the label widens and reinforces his professional contacts while taking part in conventions such as Sonar (Barcelona), Winter Conference (Miami), Midem (Cannes), Muteck (Canada), etc. Compilations Cd's, allow the artists to be more visible to general public.Events are also organized in parallel by Perceptible Records to promote the musicians with whom he collaborates. In 2003 the label Perceptible Records leaves its first compilation entitled: “Underground Spanish Touch”. This project reflects many years lived thru the world, in the search and the creation of this new musical influence where the Tribal mixture of sonorities, Deep-house and Progressive-Undergrounds incarnate the Iberican “punch”. "Underground Spanish Touch", incontestably one of the great Electro events of the year 2003, you takes along towards a fluidity of alternative and hypnotic sounds. In 2005 their new Opus entitled "Global Room", more tribal and deep than ever, offer a new style and reveals a new facet of the label showing the capacity to diversify and approach of new musical horizons. The diversification of the project invest the universe of the heteroclite medias: dance-floors, chill out-rooms, cinematographic universe and multi-media applications. For this new album, the label achieves a true festival of tribal sonorities accompanied by analogical sounds. www.crossingsounds.com

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Minimalist music is an originally American genre of experimental or Downtown music named in the 1960s based mostly in consonant harmony, steady pulse (if not immobile drones), stasis and slow transformation, and often reiteration of musical phrases or smaller units such as figures, motifs, and cells. Starting in the early 1960s as a scruffy underground scene in San Francisco alternative spaces and New York lofts, minimalism spread to become the most popular experimental music style of the late 20th century. The movement originally involved dozens of composers, although only four—Terry Riley, Steve Reich, Philip Glass, and, less visibly if more seminally, La Monte Young—emerged to become publicly associated with it in America. In Europe, its chief exponents were Louis Andriessen, Karel Goeyvaerts, Michael Nyman, Gavin Bryars, Steve Martland, Henryk Górecki, Arvo Pärt, and John Tavener. The term "minimalist music" was derived around 1970 by Michael Nyman from the concept of minimalism, which was earlier applied to the visual arts.[1] For some of the music, especially that which transforms itself according to strict rules, the term "process music" has also been used.
