About Me

Chris Roberts started djing professionally in 1997. Influenced by Stevie Jay, Little Andy and Matt "Jam" Lamont. He first started playing old skool garage at Stringfellows, Cafe De Paris, Browns and Velvet Underground. At these clubs he held his own nights called ABSOLUT TUESDAYS at Cafe De Paris and CHUNKY FUNKY at Stringfellows. Chris was then introduced to House Music after being offered a residency at the House of Windsor. A host of names performed alongside Chris namely Danny Rampling who is the biggest influence as well as a close friend to this day. Other names include Judge Jules, Brandon Block, Alex P, Jeremy Healy, Alister Whitehead, Jon of the Pleased Wimmin, Boy George and Graham Gold. Various club themes put their own events on in Windsor like Miss Moneypennys and Golden, by being involved Chris embarked on a tour with Miss Moneypennys throughout the UK, Ayia Napa, Cyprus and Ibiza. His first major capacity gig was at Pacha in Ayia Napa performing to about 1000 clubbers. Listening to Danny Rampling's Lovegroove Dance Party on Radio One helped the direction Chris chose with his music even though he is as versatile DJ. He was often invited by Danny to see how radio works, and Chris also had radio guest slots with Brandon Block + Alex P and the TUFF JAM show on Kiss FM London. Radio has always and continues to be a huge interest in Chris Roberts life. With some experience djing overseas he then appeared in Toronto, Canada the other side of the Atlantic at the Industry, Government, and the Living Room. Chris became friends with the Family club Turnmills with Tall Paul and Danny Newman. Just before the millennium Danny Rampling ran his own night at the club which was called London Calling then it was changed to METROGROOVE. Chris held the Pre-Party every month being able to perform alongside Benji Candelano, Malthias "Malty" Heilbronn, Bob Sinclar , Norman Jay, David Morales and Frankie Knuckles. The best night that they had at the time was PARIS CALLING which had an uncanny meaning to it as Chris was then asked to move to Paris to open up Peter Stringfellows club in the French capital. Learning to adapt his skills more including ample microphone presentations.  He needed to speak French, create an ambience through music, and also development of lighting and effects in the club as a whole. He remained there for a further four years into early 2006 after which he moved to Dublin to launch yet another Stringfellows club. After five months in Ireland he returned to the continental buzz of Paris as a resident DJ at Pink Paradise created by David Guetta. Pink is now run by Muratt Atik and Joanna Cook who are two of the most creative people in Paris. Since May 2009 Chris became the resident Dj at Queen In Paris.
