About Me

THE RASH Is A Rock ‘N’ Roll Argument……
Five individuals from different musical backgrounds merged together for the benefit of your ears. Formed a year ago by Ben and Paul in a garage in Ashford, the band quickly gained a musical identity with the recruitment of Joe, Sam and Phil, eventually spilling onto the live scene in the summer of 2007 with their high-energy, riot-inducing shows.........
To define The Rash we need to break it down into its five fundamental elements, being the band members; we have…....
Benemy, lead vocals and brightly coloured zip-up garments. Like a cross between Johnny Rotten and Mike Skinner, he loves Punk and sometimes acts like a chav. He also has an irrational fear of cutlery.............
Pauls View, guitar, tightly fitted garments and sunset hair, he has no eyes so always wears his rash-specs. His favourite artists include Blur, The Smiths and Syd Barrett............
Sammmm, guitar and frenzy-evoking tie-dyed garments, the most random man in rock, embracer of the rock ‘n’ roll ethic and general eye candy of The Rash. His growling strat is inspired by the likes of Dinosaur Jr., Mudhoney and Sonic Youth.............
Sideshow Joe, bass guitar and juggling, his hands are a blur as he wanders aimlessly around the stage, drinker of beer and puker of vomit, the joker in the Rash pack. His musical loves include Metallica, Rancid and Britney Spears...........
Phil Rash, drums and enormity, officially the tallest drummer in the world (Mick Fleetwood is plankton by comparison) has an obsession with Phil Collins as he is also a drummer named Phil. His favourite bands/legendary acts are Cream, The Who and Madness to name but a few...........
That’s our brain dissected, hope you found it insightful….....
