Devoted S.O.U.L Entertainment began it’s journey in 2005 when Hennyrock and Nikki Tamara decided it was time to control their own musical destiny...They met as members of " the illest crew never to be released" The FlameThroWarz... Hennyrock, 48Karatz, 1ne Take or Ratz(depending on who you ask) started writing rhymes at age 7 and singing at age 9...Born and bred in The Bronx, he instantly fell in love with the culture of Hip Hop after hearing Kurtis Blow’s "AJ"...By age 15, he was recording songs with a crew of local rappers, "4xs the Flava"...Working at his craft day in and day out, he continued to record songs and perform at different talent shows when he got the chance...In 1999, he was featured on the independent release, "The Arrival" by Alleykat; the only other artist from 4x’s the Flava he continued to work with...In 2000, he joined The FlameThrowarz...Along with D.A.L.L.U.S(now Casino-Dialz), Hot Dy$e, Dolo, Montana(now Montega) and VA Slim he performed at F.I.T, The Savoy, Sofia, and Alley Katz at Shockoe Bottom in Virginia...Nikki Tamara also born and bred in The Bronx began singing at age 3 in the Angelic Choir at St. Paul Baptist Church in Harlem, NY...Under the mentoring of Frances Jackson she became a featured soloist in different churches in the New York area...She walked that path from childhood well into her young adulthood...Her influences coming up were her mother Yvette Sullivan, Frances Jackson of the Clara Ward Singers, Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston, Chaka Khan, Rachelle Farrell and Stevie Wonder among many others...A gospel concert at La Guardia High School in the spring of 1992 is when she decided that music would be her life journey...In 1993, 1994, 1995 she took home the silver(..93) and gold(..94, ..95) in the NAACP ACT-SO Vocal Competition...At age 20, she was featured in the off-broadway musical, "Walk in the Light" as well as the, "Love Alive" tour in 2001 along with Jennifer Miller...She joined The FlameThrowarz soon after...Taking everything that they had learned in their seperate life journeys these two entities came together to form one solid force...Devoted S.O.U.L Entertainment. The music is just the stepping stone though...Real estate, a soul food supper club, films and a clothing line are all in the near future works of Devoted S.O.U.L Entertainment...Peace & Freedom...
