The Moonshine Runners

About Me

The Moonshine Runners are a four piece band from the cornfields of Iowa. Originally named "The Sweethearts of the Rodeo" after a great influence, the band has now changed their name to avoid legal issues. Fret not, the music is still the same my friends.
In 2005, still under the "Sweethearts" name, The Moonshine Runners headed into the studio with Executive Producer/fuming original punk angstist Ted Leo. Ted took a day off from rocking the masses with the Pharmacists to join Just a Fire's Scott Adamson at Adamson's Chicago studio to produce the first single for the Moonshine Runners, "Angels Cry on Chicago".
Accompanied by 7 more tracks of good 'ole fashioned rocking, The Moonshine Runners dropped the debut record "A Prelude to Sunrise" on September 2nd, 2006. The Moonshine Runners will be playing dates all through the fall to promote the album, and then heading into the studio this winter with a produceer/engineer yet to be named to record the sophmoric effort.
The Moonshine Runners continue to unite fans of all styles of music with their unique, yet highly refined melodies. Live shows create a high intensity atmosphere that you truly must experience to describe.
The Moonshine Runners love you, and hope to see you soon..
