Raised, musically, in Minneapolis and arrived in Nashville in the fall of 2006. Who taught and still teach me about music? Paul & John, Brian Wilson, James Brown, Stephen Sondheim, Miles, Emilio & Doc & Tower of Power, Stevie Wonder, Kris Kristofferson, Sly, Sting, Rickie Lee Jones, Joni Mitchell, Carole King, Van Morrison, Paul Simon, Jimmy Webb, James Taylor, Dylan, Prince, Erik Satie, John Hiatt, Steve Earle, Bill Champlin, Patty Griffin, Tom Waits, and the too-many-to-mention incredible group of writers making Nashville what it is today (i.e., the most amazing songwriting mecca in the universe.)...I could go on.
