Necrosaint was birthed in 2006 as the progeny of the divergence in musical direction by Åshürh Náströnd, the sole member and founding member, from previous aural endeavors. Necrosaint was created to satiate the urge to create blackened death metal with the original recurrent theme of religion, hate, and anger. While there has been little, if any, ambition driving the project, it is an eminence which satiates the sole proprietor of the project.
After a circa two year hiatus of absolute inertness, Necrosaint is reemerging now in the final tidings of the "year of our lord" 2009. While content will still likely deal with theological conflict and misanthropy, new interest will aim at expression of astral projection, despondency, dynamicity, philosophy, and so on.
