About Me

Nick Dawson is currently working on new music and art for the paperscissorstone netlabel with Joe Ellis of Trimsound. The label will feature quality original tech/house & electronica for free download and should be up and running in spring '08.Nick spent his formative years playing guitar/bass in experimental bands CCO and Sonic Lodge in Liverpool, bought a Roland 303 in '98 and was DJing free parties and clubs by 2000. Often playing alongside Joe & Tom Ellis, Leif Knowles and Sam Watson.Founder member of Medicine@theBay in Aberystwyth with Tom Billington/Gareth DeGator and Submerge@theOrangePeel in Rhyl with Barney, Fil Devious and Little Jon between '00 - '04, playing a meaty mix of Detroit & Birmingham techno. Producing his own music since 2005, Nicks sound is about clean, syncopated percussive layers and polyrhythms, working against deep melodic phrases.Look out for links to the paperscissorstone site soon. http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual &VideoID=27375507
