About Me

Well, I do a little of everything. I'm a member of a Gitxsan community called Gitsegukla. My English name is Russell Collier, and my Gitxsan name is Hli Gyet Hl Spagayt Sagat. The Gitxsan are a tribe in mid-northwestern British Columbia.

I'm primarily a land use planner and GIS mapper. This makes me one of the geekiest aboriginals I know, or maybe one of the geekiest of anybody I know.

I also draw a little, take nature phtographcs & sculpt soapstone or wood on occasion, and over the past several years, I write sonnets. Yes, the 14-line form poetry, iambic pentameter thing. I'm also learning to play my beautiful djembe drum.
