Alcuni di voi sicuramente già mi conoscono, dai credits di qualche disco su cui ho lavorato (e ne sono un po') o dal mio progetto musicale Breakfast ... comunque mi presento
sono Maurice Andiloro un sound engineer professionista dal ‘97 con doti di produttore artistico e naturalmente con una gran passione per la musica…
Sono nato a Melbourne in Australia nel 1969 da genitori italiani emigrati in cerca di fortuna. Fin da piccolo ho avuto il pallino per della musica. Stavo davanti alla radio ad ascoltare varie stazioni per ore e ore ed alla fine stilavo le mie classifiche di preferenza come se io fossi la top 40 ufficiale! Era un gioco divertentissimo.
Grazie alla radio davvero di qualità in Australia ed a mio fratello di dieci anni più grande, sono riuscito ad appassionarmi ed a crearmi una cultura musicale non indifferente! Ricordo ancora il mio primo disco acquistato a 11 anni, era ULTRAVOX Vienna… (curiosità: successivamente ho avuto l'occasione di lavorare sulla stessa multitraccia su cui era stato registrato il disco...una vecchia MCI ora di proprietà di Mauro Pagani . La vita!)
Nel 1984 la mia famiglia, con me ormai quindicenne, è tornata in Italia, a Trieste. Qui ho proseguito gli studi linguistici iniziati in Australia tenendo sempre e comunque un “orecchio” all'arte della musica e dello spettacolo. Cosi alla fine degli anni ottanta ho investito tutte le forze su questo aspetto. Andavo in giro con un otto piste Fostex a bobina a registrare provini su provini imparando moltissimo in quel periodo sul campo.
Finite le scuole linguistiche mi sono trasferito a Londra. Qui ho frequentato con grosso profitto, per quasi un anno, un Corso di Tecnico del Suono presso la SAE ed alla fine del corso la direzione mi ha offerto un lavoro nella loro sede di Milano. Ho accolto con grandissima soddisfazione l’offerta e tra settembre 1996 e aprile 1997, trasferitomi a Milano, ho insegnato ai ragazzi nella scuola.
Durante questo periodo ho conosciuto Mauro Pagani e Paolo Iafelice . Cercavano un assistente per il loro nuovo studio Next , che poi sarebbe diventato le Officine Meccaniche di Milano. Entrai a far parte del loro staff e presto insieme a Paolo divenni il fonico residente dello studio dal 1998 al 2001.
Alla fine del 2001 ho lasciato le Officine Meccaniche in accordo con Mauro Pagani ed ho preso la via del sound engineer freelance. In più, tra un lavoro e l’altro, con il mio caro amico Enrico Decolle, unite le forze abbiamo costruito il progetto musicale Breakfast ora con due dischi all'attivo e un terzo in arrivo.
Ed eccomi nel 2007 sempre freelance e sempre nell'ambiente musicale…

I was born in Melbourne, Australia in 1969 from emigrated Italian parents. Since a small age I've always had a love for music. I was often in front of the radio listening to several stations for hours and hours and at the end of the week i would make my own chart of preference like as if It was the official top 40! It was great fun.
Thanks to the high quality radio stations in Australia those days and to my brother ten years older than me, i was able to appreciate and understand various musical genres. I still remember the first disc i bought when i was 11 years old, it was Ultravox Vienna… (curiosity: subsequently I had the opportunity to work on the same multitrack on which Vienna had been recorded... an old MCI now property of Mauro Pagani . Funny!)
In 1984 my family and me by now 15 years old, moved to Italy. Here I continued studies in foreign languages with an ear out for whatever was musical and art in general. I was playing with various local bands as a singer but that wasn't enough... and by the end of the 80's i was very eager to fulfill my ambition and become an audio engineer. I bought an eight track quarter inch Fostex tape recorder with a 12 channel mixer of the same brand and went around recording and producing all local bands!
After finishing my college studies i moved out to London. Here I attended with large profit, a Audio Engineering course at the S.A.E. (school of audio engineering London) and at the end of the course the school offered me a teaching job in their new Milano school. I accepted with pleasure the offer and between september 1996 and april 1997, i moved to Milan where i taught and helped out the boys in the school.
During this period I met Mauro Pagani and Paolo Iafelice . They were looking for an assistant for their new recording studio, Next Studios which would soon become the great Officine Meccaniche , one of Italy's best studios. I soon entered the studio and become part of staff and with my colleague Paolo became the resident audio engineer for the studio from 1998 to 2001. Thanks to this great opportunity offered to me i was able to work with many of the biggest national and international artists.
At the end of 2001 I left Officine Meccaniche in agreement with Mauro Pagani and began my carrier as a freelance sound engineer. Furthermore, between one job and another, with my dear friend Enrico Decolle, we joined forces to begin a musical duo called Breakfast , with two lp's to this date and a third one on its way.
And here i am in 2006 always a freelance audio engineer and always in the music biz...recording, mixing, editing and producing!
