About Me

: Bent On Bones Gourmet Dog Treats, formally known as (My Bentley's Barkery) Sit back and meet one of our Canine Eating Officials known as Bentley or (Dewy) as I sometimes call him. Bentley that's me. Here's my story and I'm sticking to it! Dad purchased me for mom for her birthday 5 years ago. They came to my house and choose me over my brother who was also left out of the litter. My daddy was a 200 lb white great dane. Not sure about my mommy. My new mom and dad didn't get to see my birth mother so they aren't sure what my mix is. They say I am a great dane ,Mastiff mix. Male, well mom say's sometimes that's questionable.(The Male Part) I weigh about 180 lbs right now subject to change of course! I am brindle ,harlequine mix and have quite an attitude. I am a lover when I want to be I give great doggie hugs but I also can be a real pain in the *** other times. Dad says I am just to smart for my own good. I have selective hearing, Mom can call me when I go outside and I just keep doing what I want to. But I can be sound asleep on mom and dad's bed and mom can open the lunch meat drawer real quitely in the refrigerator and boy I am there! My long tail dad says is a weapon, I wag it constantly hitting it on whatever is in my immediate area. Right Dad! It goes back and forth and around like a helicopter blade. Mom says if I got it really going around I just might get off the ground someday. Dad has to protect his man area when I really get to wagging. People, furniture whatever should take cover!I choose to be somewhat undecided about my sexual preference. You see I do not lift my leg to do my business I choose to squat. Mom and Dad say I don't run I Swish around out in the yard at play time. Well I do like to kind of do ballarina jumps with my football or basketball in my mouth. Mom says she still loves me though.I love to carry stuffed animals around the house when I am tired. They are my babies. Yes I am a Male! But remember this is personal choice. One time out side I found a little kitten because we live on an 18 acre farm and have barn cats, I casaully walked up to Mom to show off and Mom yelled and scared me making me spit out the kitten at mom's feet. I thought it was a new outside baby. I didn't hurt it I however Mom says could have drowned it from me drooling over being so excited about my new baby. I also had a few run ins with those black and white stinky kitties (skunks) got sprayed one night with my two brothers and dad let us in the house before he realized what had taken place. Needless to say mom went bulistic because us three guys came in and rubbed on her new couch and new pretty area rug in the living room. Dad and us boys bonded at 3:00 a.m. with some tomatoe juice, and dad never did make it to work that morning. Still like to give chase to those little stinky kitties though if I can!I am proud to announce I can Burp, Fart and Snore with the best of them. I am very vocal mom and dad can be talking and I have to put in my two cents. Everynight at 6:00p.m. I have my evening social time where I bark, growl and whine for approxiametly 1/2 hour. This in my opinion is just quality family time. It's good to share right? My biggest fears, Bugs, anything that crawls, flys, stings, buzzes etc. If I am outside and one comes near or lands on me well Party's over time to go in . NOW! Another fear the Vet, with that sharp needle to poke me. The last time I went with Dad to visit this animal caregiver, I showed them. The vet had new white tennis shoes on and told dad to grab hold of me so I wouldn't bite. Well dad put the old hold on me and that Vet gave me the poke, well to his surprise my bowels busted loose and guess who got a real sh***y shower. New shoes and all over his examining room. Mom made a so Ashamed doggie treat basket for the vets office due to my little revenge. Oh But the sweet smell of REVENGE! Ahh Life is Good!Except it's time again to go and get a shot this month, BUMMER

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

I have two brothers an older sheperd mix which lived with mom and dad before me. He trained me to go outside with him to potty when I was a little tyke. Mom and Dad rescued him from a local dog pound on his last day of life. Chevy, that's his name came home with them and jumped out of the truck and ran down the road. Dad jumped back into the truck and went to get him which Chevy willingly came back into the truck, he loves to go for rides. Well dinner was on when Chevy arrived fresh baked turkey just out of the oven. Mom and dad sat down to eat and Chevy jumped up onto the kitchen counter and helped himself to turkey to! The rest is history. He is Mom's guard dog that is his job. He also likes to play with me outside biting my back legs and ears which I do tolerate from him because he is my older brother. And I really do LOVE him.My youngest brother is Brutis the black and white Great Dane. Well 3 years ago on Halloween night dad and mom arrived home with him. They rescued him from an animal shelter which was full. His old owners were going to shoot him for chasing their cattle. Well I thought what a trick this is, I mean I know it's trick or treat night but come on be real.I wanted mom and dad to just take him back where they got him and let's get on with handing out candy! But NO! Brutis stayed it took me a few day's of ignoring him and mom and dad to get over it. But we finally settled in. Last year we found out Brutis is seizure prone he had his first outside one night with mom and dad just watching us play. To be honest I was excited thinking he's out of here! Mom however put me in the house and wouldn't let me out until Brutis came around. I was just kidding about him being out of here. God she just can't take a joke! So Brutis is closly watched for any signs of seizures. Mom monitors him really close. Brutis LOVES mom alot he stands by her and watches her every move when we go for walks outside. I on the other hand am an independent dog who hates to be tailed. Excuse the pun but You know how it is with a younger brother always wanting to hang out with you! All I have to say is Just Grow up already!
