I have two brothers an older sheperd mix which lived with mom and dad before me. He trained me to go outside with him to potty when I was a little tyke. Mom and Dad rescued him from a local dog pound on his last day of life. Chevy, that's his name came home with them and jumped out of the truck and ran down the road. Dad jumped back into the truck and went to get him which Chevy willingly came back into the truck, he loves to go for rides. Well dinner was on when Chevy arrived fresh baked turkey just out of the oven. Mom and dad sat down to eat and Chevy jumped up onto the kitchen counter and helped himself to turkey to! The rest is history. He is Mom's guard dog that is his job. He also likes to play with me outside biting my back legs and ears which I do tolerate from him because he is my older brother. And I really do LOVE him.My youngest brother is Brutis the black and white Great Dane. Well 3 years ago on Halloween night dad and mom arrived home with him. They rescued him from an animal shelter which was full. His old owners were going to shoot him for chasing their cattle. Well I thought what a trick this is, I mean I know it's trick or treat night but come on be real.I wanted mom and dad to just take him back where they got him and let's get on with handing out candy! But NO! Brutis stayed it took me a few day's of ignoring him and mom and dad to get over it. But we finally settled in. Last year we found out Brutis is seizure prone he had his first outside one night with mom and dad just watching us play. To be honest I was excited thinking he's out of here! Mom however put me in the house and wouldn't let me out until Brutis came around. I was just kidding about him being out of here. God she just can't take a joke! So Brutis is closly watched for any signs of seizures. Mom monitors him really close. Brutis LOVES mom alot he stands by her and watches her every move when we go for walks outside. I on the other hand am an independent dog who hates to be tailed. Excuse the pun but You know how it is with a younger brother always wanting to hang out with you! All I have to say is Just Grow up already!
