And now that hype is set to spread throughout Australia and abroad in 2009.2008 saw Zennith blow away audiences at the Woodford Folk Festival, Island Times Festival, Kuranda Roots and The Dreaming just to name a few. They were finalists in the 2008 Q Song Awards and invited to showcase at The BIGSOUND Music Industry Summit.Yet it was their acclaimed performance at the inaugural Australasian World Music Expo in Melbourne that set the tongues wagging and wheels in motion for a huge 2009. Since that showcase, the band has been overwhelmed by invitations to perform around the word, from New Zealand to the USA and Europe. The band’s recent debut EP We Like It is full of uplifting and positive messages and a fresh fusion of hip-hop, roots, soul and reggae. The band is currently working on its debut album, set for release late 2009.In the meantime, Zennith are doing what they do best – ripping up venues and festivals across the country and leaving audiences rapturous in their wake.Catch them before the rest of the world does.
