Pregame voice over:
Glory Glory to ol Georgia. Heroes have graced the field before you. Men with hearts, bodies and minds for which the entire Bulldog Nation can be justifiably proud. The tradition of unbridled excellence demonstrated by these individuals and many others spans more than a full century. And now a new breed of bulldog stands ready to take the field of battle. To assume the reigns of the Georgia program. To continue that tradition. Understanding that there is no tradition more worthy of envy. No institution worthy of such loyalty as The University of Georgia. As we prepare for another meeting between the hedges let all the bulldog faithful rally behind the men who now wear the red and black with two words. Two simple words that express the sentiments of the entire Bulldog Nation
GO DAWGS!

Bulldog fans see freshman Herschel Walker for the first time:
Tennessee leading 15-2, the crowd roaring against Georgia trying to make them drop it so they can't hear. We hand it off to Herschel, there's a hole, 5, 10, 12, he's running over people! Oh, you Herschel Walker! My God almighty, he ran right through two men, Herschel ran right over two men, they had him dead away inside the 9. Herschel Walker went 16 yards, he drove right over those orange shirts, just driving and running with those big thighs. My God, a freshman!"

"Florida in a stand-up five, they may or may not blitz, Belue third down on the 8, in trouble, he got a block behind him going to throw on the run, complete on the 25 to the 30, Lindsay Scott 35, 40, Lindsay Scott 45, 50, 45, 40. ... Run Lindsay, 25, 20, 15, 10, Lindsay Scott! Lindsay Scott! Lindsay Scott! ... Well, I can't believe it. 92 yards and Lindsay really got in a foot race I broke my chair. I came right through a chair. A metal steel chair with about a 5 inch cushion, I broke it. The booth came apart. The stadium... well the stadium fell down, now they do have to renovate this place... they'll have to rebuild it now. This is incredible. You know this game has always been called the World's Greatest Cocktail Party, do you know what's gonna happen here tonight, and up at St. Simmons and Jeckyl Island, and all those places where all those dawg people have got those condominiums for 4 days. Man is there going to be some property destroyed tonight! 26-21, Dawgs on top. We were gone. I'd gave up, you did too. We were out of it and gone. Miracle!"
Game: Georgia vs. Auburn, 1982
Score: GEORGIA 19, AUBURN 14
Georgia clinched another SEC Championship:
"19-14, they pitch it to Bo Jackson, they block, he comes out stumbling to the 50, one man got him on the Georgia 42 or 3 ... Flag down, little Sanchez got him, now watch the penalty, because we've killed ourselves with penalties in the 3rd quarter, and it may be on Georgia. You don't win championships doing that and you know it. Auburn, you know now what they got in the back of their mind ... they can't tie it, but they can beat us. Georgia leading 19-14, needing a play of some kind, a break of some kind, Hunker Down you guys! Dawgs are in a 6... actually only 4 standing, they're in a 6-4. They pitch it to Bo Jackson, one man knocked him off balance, and we came up and got him ... Ball back on the 21, and it's 2nd down now and 17, with 2:05 to go, Auburn trying to break our hearts. 19-14 and the Dawgs lead. Again you guys, Hunker down! Auburn up to the line... Carver got him from behind! Back on the 30! ... Oh man! 2 big plays, 84 seconds ... 3rd down and 21. Auburn back on the 30. Watch this now. I hate to keep saying it, but Hunker Down! you didn't hear me you guys Hunker Down! ... pass complete to the 21... Timeout Auburn. Timeout 49 seconds left ... 4th and 17, I know I'm asking alot you guys, but Hunker it down one more time! ... Pass into the endzone... and the Dawgs broke it up! They broke it up! ... The dawgs with 42 seconds... I won't ask you to do that again you guys ... 32 seconds, Lastinger up to the line... Lastinger falls back on the 16 ... GA students standing and roaring 23, 22, 21 clock running, running. Oh look at the Sugar falling out of the sky! Look at the Sugar falling out of the sky! Here comes a GA fan running out across the field. And now everybody roars, 3, 2, 1 and they're carrying Vince Dooley off the field. Dawgs have won it. Somebody threw something on us. Dawgs have won it 19-14. The defense hunkered this thing down."

"Now Auburn's stadium roars as its offense runs out on the field. Stan White waving at the crowd to make a lot of noise and he says something to an official, and he bumps one of his tight ends. Here they are in that old fashioned T again. Three backs, they only need 8 or 9 inches and White tries to keep it and sneak late, he didn't do it there. He tried to keep it, they ran the full back, White tried to step in. Watch the clock, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, we're not lined up, 3, they have no time-outs, 2, 1, I think its over, they can't get a play off. We saved our selves, I don't know how, they couldn't get a play off. White tried to fake it, they ran to the full, and then he tried to sneak in. Auburn wound up, Auburn messed up with the clock. Auburn couldn't get a play off, the Dawgs stop White trying to sneak in. We saved our selves. No we didn't Old Lady Luck saved us. Old Lady Luck has defeated them. The defense won the ball game, make no mistake about that. 14-10, the defense saved our whatchamacallits."

After falling behind 24-20 with 44 seconds left in the game, redshirt freshman David Greene leads the Bulldogs down to the Tennessee 6-yard line with 10 seconds remaining:
"10 Seconds, We're on their 6. Michael Johnson turned around asked the bench something. And now, Greene makes him lineup on the right in the slot, we have 3 receivers. Tennessee playing what amounts to a 4-4, Fake, and there's somebody Touchdown! My God a Touchdown! We threw it to Haynes. We just stuffed them with five seconds left! My God almighty, did you see what he did! David Greene just straightened up and we snuck the fullback over! Haynes is keeping the ball! Haynes is come running all the way across to the bench. We just dumped it over 26-24. We just stepped on their face with a hobnailed boot and broke their nose. We just crushed their faces!"

"We're on the 19, you gotta get to the 4 for the first down. Crowd roars at us, 3 wideouts. Man, we've had some shots haven't we? Snap to David Greene, there he goes in the corner again and we jump up... TOUCHDOWN! OH GOD A TOUCHDOWN! In the corner! With 85 seconds, sombody went up high. Was it Watson or Gibson? Michael Johnson up high, we're gonna put glasses on it. And they stagger down into the screen in the fences down in the corner. Michael Johnson turned around and got up in the air. We caught the ball! Its 23-21 with 85 seconds. He turned around and jumped. David Greene in a couple of times missed some opportunities like that. He caught it up high under his neck and had a foot in and knew it, and then got knocked out. Billy Bennett just put the extra point up there good. Its 24-21. David Greene just threw it in the corner and Michael Johnson who he's used a lot in this 4th quarter got racked up in the air, but hung on, and had his foot down in there... We scored!"

"Will Tennessee hurdle the line? Will Tennessee just dump a little dink pass in the end zone? Will Tennessee run a toss sweep? Goal line defense, 7 seconds. A fresh back in there, Jabar Davis. Watch him hurdle, let's see if that's what they do. Their blocking back's moving, and they give it to Jabar. JABAR HE FUMBLED! And we dive on the ball! And we pick it up! We got a man running on the 20, 25, 30, RUN! He's got blockers behind him, the 40, the 30, SEAN JONES GOING ALL THE WAY! SEAN JONES ALL THE WAY! Picked up a fumble and ran about 95 yards, and he had 6 blockers behind him all the way. Sean Jones picked it up. They were gonna run a sweep with him... (he) dropped the ball. Old lady luck just laughed out loud right there! Holy Smokes! (**Scott Howard voice** She was wearing hob-nail boots Larry). The ball game just made a little change right there. Its 19-7, time is out at the half. We're gonna try the extra point. Sean Jones, with those wonderful hands picked that ball up and came running. You should have seen the escort he had all the way down there. They set it down and the extra point is up, and the kick is good. And the dawgs lead 20-7."

"We must be, and I'm guessing I know, but we must be dawg tired. We're on the 10, its 3rd down, 4 for a first down, 10 for a Touchdown. Danny Ware and Fred Gibson come back in. We have dropped some passes in this second half. We still got the lead, I don't know how we got the lead. 3rd down, 4 plus 4 inches, we're in an I. One man split real wide, Gibson over on the right side. Greene hollers at everybody... and a whistle blew.
...{PENALTY}...
We are back on the 15 yard line, 3rd down. Gators in a 5, we're in an I. Fake, and he fires right down the middle! TOUCHDOWN! TOUCHDOWN! TOUCHDOWN! Fred Gibson caught a ball running right to left. Greene hit 'em...Greene hit 'em with a 15 yarder. He was barely in bounds on that back sideline... on that back line. 30-21, Don't give up!"
