Country Music is Three Chords and The Truth.

About Me

Amber Pettus is an award winning independent recording artist that has put her heart and soul into her success. She has been honored by the King Eagle Awards Association, IFCO, CCMA, and Music City Explosion. After 4 Chart-topping Indie Hits in the last 5 years it is no wonder that Amber was nominated for Upcoming Female Vocalist of the Year in 2003 and Female Vocalist of the Year in 2004 by the Independent Music Association. But success aside, Amber has faced her fair share of adversity. She has battled some demons along the way and experienced the twists and turns that defines all our lives. If anything, these life experiences have re-invigorated her and given her a new perspective, which in turn has produced, in her words, her truest music yet.Born in Oxford, Alabama, Amber was first introduced to country music at the ripe age of 5, when her grandfather enlightened her world to it. As her love of music grew, it grew as fast as her respect for its heroes. Loretta Lynn, Dolly Parton, and Tammy Wynette, the powerful women of country music who wrote and sang from the heart, and Patsy Cline, the tough, strong, hard-working woman whom Amber related to the best. At the age of 5, Amber had her first public performance and from that time she was hooked. Throughout the next 10 years Amber performed regionally at various fairs and festivals throughout the Southeast. Amber did what she had to, to perform - booking and marketing her own shows, with the help of her family. By the age of 15, Amber had performed at large venues throughout the country, opening for various artists such as, Jim Ed Brown, Helen Cornelius, T. Graham Brown, Tom T. Hall, The Belamy Bros., The Kinleys, Kitty Wells, Vince Gill, Martina McBride, Montgomery Gentry, Doug Stone, and Jo Dee Messina, to mention a few. Then at the age of 19, Amber decided to move to Nashville and follow her dream. She knew no one, but she had a plan…to sing. From that day on Amber followed her dream and would lay down the roots that brought her to where she is today.Amber stated, “To me the wonderful surprise in life is the drive, dedication, and achievement of what you have worked hard for. Dreams are meant to be followed and if your heart speaks it, then it doesn’t matter how far-reached it seems. You have to believe.”
