THIS TOO SHALL PASS i ran to a friend telling her lies about how i dont give a damn about you any more. hoping that if i speak the words, and convince someone else, then it would be that much easier to convince myself that i dont hate to see you. and i dont feel a little relieved when you leave because i no longer have to look into those deep brown eyes that still capture mine even though you ran over my heart and spit on it. you stomped on it an broke it in half. one side is still singing love songs. while the other is swimming in the pool of tears i wept for you, and for the disintegration of us. i wish this were easy and i could erase you from my life. but even then, your name would still be written across my heart. that's how it starts. you get so enrapture in someone else that you almost start to forget yourself. you never think of what will become of you, when they've decided that they've had enough of you. you dont think that far ahead because you never want this to end. so you over look the flaws so that you can love in ignorance. but dont be fooled adam. there will always be an apple and there will always be an eve. and when your ignorance fades, so will your happiness.
