About Me

Proud mother and happily married for 28 years. My husband & I own a beautiful karate school where we teach American Kenpo. We often bring a mixture of karate styles into our teachings to offer students a well-rounded (yet very traditional) style. Kocyla Karate is proud to work with world respected instructors such as Sifu Ed Parker Jr., Shihan Ted Tabura, Professor Frank Trejo to name a few. We host seminars at our two story studio, as well traveling often to participate in karate camps & other events. We train respectful students and encourage event participation in our nationwide tournaments! We also have a farm - HIDDEN VALLEY HAY - which takes up the rest of our energy! Can't say we sit around idle!

Winter Blues

March 4th and still in the thick of winter.  Seems like it will never end.  When we lived (and I was born and raised in) Southern California, you hardly ever noticed the seasons change. ...
