I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

I'm really trying to figure that out myself.TBA. I'll work on this when I'm in Tampa

My Interests

Family, friends, travel, scuba diving, figure skating, swimming, tennis, roller blading (especially in Paris), travel, checking items off on my life's to-do list, trying new things, finding a new challenge, and did I mention travel?

I'd like to meet:

Me in ten years. I want to know if there was anything that I regret not doing.

Music:

Indy all the way! The National, Reindeer Section, Explosions in the Sky, Ben Kweller, Death Cab, Eels, Frou Frou (and Imogen), Interpol, Stars, Jimmy Eat World, Justin Timberlake (ok... not a closet fan anymore), Minus the Bear, Pedro the Lion, The Perishers, Plain White T's, Postal Service, Ray LaMontagne and Wilco. From my raving days, I can still enjoy a little Crystal Method, Mirwais, Paul Oakenfold, Zero7 and just about any live house music (I hate trance). And the classics: Ben Harper, Collective Soul, Radiohead, Pearl Jam (cause I am from Seattle), Crosby Stills Nash and Young (no relation), Nirvana, Fiona Apple, Greenday, Marcy Playground, STP, the Strokes, and the list goes on.And to add a little variety, I love Andrea Bocelli, Gypsy Kings, Juanes, Louis Armstrong (thank you Marshal), Broadway musicals (thanks to my freshman year roommate) and just about every song on the karaoke playlist... cause I know the lyrics to all of them!

Movies:

Hmm. I can't say that I've seen too many movies recently. I LOVE Jurassic Park (what geek didn't?!), The Incredibles and the Shawshank Redemption. I'll add more as I go.

Television:

I'm way too busy to plan my life around a TV show. If I happen to come across the following shows I might take a well-deserved break: Grey's Anatomy (because it's based in Seattle of course!), Dancing with the Stars, college football (preferably PAC-10 teams), So You Think You Can Dance (especially because Jeff enjoys it.... surprise surprise) and Alias (my all-time favorite and I still watch the reruns).

Books:

Jonathan Livingston's 'Seagull', 'Uncle Tom's Cabin', anything written by Terry Goodkind, C.S. Lewis, Ernest Hemingway... the list goes on. I'm totally into fantasy books (not science fiction... there is a distinction there) and I HATE engineering books or research publications. I grew up with the National Geographic magazine as my periodical.

Heroes:

Anybody who stands up for what they believe in without placing judgment on those who do not believe the same.
