MySpace Layouts MySpace Codes MySpace Backgrounds Hey there, we are Inflateable Kicks and we make a lot of noise. its mainly due to the strange chords, and contrasting guitar parts that compliment each other to create a wall of sound. and that my riends is what keeps this shit interesting.
As a band we like to write music on acoustic guitars. This is because we like to have music that can be played on a single acoustic guitar, that retains the structure of the full track. We have an acoustic site on myspace which is www.myspace.com/ikbandacoustic so check it out and add us!
Our first main effort at an electric track came in form of "Words cant describe". As thick sounding as you can get through two guitars and a mic. We have finally been able to get drums on the track, and as you can here it has turned into a fairly respectable tune. "Nowhere To Hide", written by Dan, quickly followed. The song has become a fast favourite with many people especially Jay, and many people who may have their doubts about us. Our songs have been a bit of a big hit with our how shall we say...growing fan base, but as we haven't been round long, things can only get better.
Dan or "Bromie" is the voice on the majority of our tracks featured here, and is the main songwriter within the band. Innocent Eyes again sung and written by Dan solo. Jay and Rob try and write some stuff which Dan enjoys rippin apart and improving, like "Forever", written by Jay, which will soon be up on the site.
Rob and Dan have been playin guitar together since collage, and the intoduction of Jay Brereton taking the role of the powerhouse drummer, have formed the Inflateable Kick's.
What we find helps set us apart from all the other bands, is the fact we all have our own different influences, which when we play, compliment each other's styles. This gives our music a really different sound, and the band its unique identity.
Our newest arrival is Joey Scotton our bassist, whom we are trying to incorprate at the moment into our music. We are looking for as much feedback as possible to help improve our original tracks and would love to here what you think...

Sounds Like: Rock 'n' Roll Man!!!

Its been said that its easier and safer to sound like someone else, but we sound like ourselves. Of course we have influences but who wants to be someone they're not?

We play music because we want to. We dont want to play music to get rich or for fame or whatever, but if that happens, so be it. For us its a means of expression and enjoyment, and if people enjoy our music, then its all worth while.

We have recently started working with local producer David Alan Wilson in order to create a better sound, which we all hope has been achieved in our music.

Inflateable Kicks are not what you would expect from a local band, our music is meaningful, and the lyrics are a bit too serious for many people...just listen...

Hello all. even though we do like being a 3 piece band. we need a bassist. so any who are interested and like the stuff should get in touch, and maybe come down to rehersals on mondays... Late....
