Tears
The tear rolls down her cheek
hugging her face ever so softly,
her dad brushes it away with his soft hand
and tells her its gonna be ok.
She covers her face as the tears come again,
the pain inside it hurts so bad,
she's never felt this bad before.
She hears the twenty-one gun salute,
and the tears just flow harder.
She searches for all the shells,
knowing thats all she's got to hang on to.
They lay his casket in the ground,
and the tears just pour down.
She raises her head to look,
only to notice his flag being handed down.
