After the fall of the band Reloaded, the 2 founding members and bass player created a new band and The Con Artists was born in early 2006.............The Story begins when childhood friends Gilly and Luca were looking to form a band from there area, with Gilly on the Guitar and Luca on drums. Gary was also a friend of the two and had grown up with Gilly since they were kids. He was put into a possible list of bass players and Gary worked his ass off for 2 months to become the clear choice for The Con Artists. They currently blend a huge variety of influences and styles. The newly formed band rehearsed as much as possible and soon accumulated enough material to get out and start making a name for themselves as one of the most exciting up-coming bands in the Glasgow area. The Con Artists are currently in the process of a as yet untitled Ep.
Gilly (Michael Gillfeather) is the guitarist and vocalist of the band. He is also a main factor in the song writing. He has been playing guitar for 5-6 years and is heavily talented. Michael is attending Reid Kerr College studying Promotion and Performance and hopes it will widen his knowledge of the Music Business so that he can help the band in more ways than just using his lightening fingers. Gilly is keen to learn and dabbles in the drum kit at practice.
Gary Moore is one half of the rock solid rhythm section of The Con Artists, being a key figure in a lot of the riffs for songs and is very creative in his own unique bass playing styles. Gary has been attending Reid Kerr College and studying a course in Promotion and Performance. He is now in his final year. Gary also hopes that this will help in his increasing interest in the music Business world. He is also interested in song writing and has a few of his own songs.
Luca Demarco plays the drum kit in The Con Artists and is the back bone of the band. With solid drum beats, and killer fills, he is the perfect percussionist.Luca has chosen to use his great Exam results to study Accountancy at Glasgow University. (Gilly will say its so he can keep count of the bands millions in the future). Luca also is an accomplished guitar player and enjoys dabbling in writing songs. Luca is a keen learner and repeatedly is the member who encourages Gary and Gilly to work as hard as possible to make the band work, in more ways than one he is the backbone of the band.
