Based on the life and work of the ground-breaking Confessional poet, Anne Sexton.
Pulitzer Prize winning poet, professor and playwright, “Sexton was the modern woman poet who first gave extended voice to issues of female identity†(Diane Middlebrook, Sexton’s biographer) before her untimely death in 1974.Using images, music, dance, film and spoken word, HER KIND tells the tale of the sensuality, candor and charisma that made Anne Sexton one of the most controversial and popular poets of the mid-twentieth century.
