About Me

Resurrecting, redefining, and representing the purest elements of rap; the pressure is on! Mark Perrion, a firm believer in Hip Hop and what the culture is all about. With his aggressive but witty lyricism, and his smooth hooks, Mark has big plans for the future of not only his life, his Mothers well being and supply foundation for his son’s future, but also with rap. The sky is the limit for Mark Perrion, his goal is to have his fans understand his life and the things he’s been through. He’s bringing them reality through his lyrics and not someone else’s life. He plans on reaching out to the real rap heads around the world.
Mark Perrion is a talented artist from Houston. Raised by his Aunt at an early age before moving to Houston and shared the rest of his upbringing under the care of his Mother. 1988 to most is remembered the year George Bush was elected as President of the Unites States. It just so happens to be the same year Mark Perrion began his passion in the rap game, he realized that music was in his blood and wanted to pursue it. He earned his moniker when he was in school and has lived up to it ever since. Called “Buzz” while in school by a few ladies for being so energetic and high on life, they never knew if he was intoxicated or just happy, the nick name wasn’t something he wanted to continue to have as he got older; combining an adult drink and his name he came up with Mark Perrion. Don Perrion at the time was the most popular drink the adults would partake on.
Currently, as CEO of Dice Playa Pro Federation, Mark is approaching the industry at a different angle. Tired of the hardships and disappointments that came along with different labels who didn’t share the same vision as he sought, he began to start doing his own artist development and put together a CD entitled, “You Say You Gangsta”. Things were looking up until he got involved with a circle and started going down the wrong path with friends. He uses the word friends loosely these days after being shot at a Houston hotel in the back by someone he considered a friend.
His bad luck with friends didn’t end there. While recovering for 3 months in the hospital for his wound, his Girl Friend at the time shared news of her being pregnant. Wanting to do right by her and his unborn son, Mark Perrion checked himself out of the hospital early to be home with her only for her to run off to a different State while carrying his child. Things have yet to be repaired with this misfortune in his life but the betrayal of her and his friends have only made him stronger and more determined to stay focus and do right with his life. He is able to express great music because of these mishaps, something like a soap opera in rhymes. He takes listeners deep inside his personal life and douses them with the philosophies that have helped to shape his experiences. Sharing with people that it’s hard sometimes but he’s sharing with them some of his experiences and all that he’s been through to get to where he is now. In a trend-driven industry where many artists mimic the latest craze, Mark Perrion is betting on being successful by being himself and exposing his heart.
So many artists claim to be the 'next big thing', but very few up and coming artists offer the public anything original, new, or worth calling classic; Mark Perrion is the exception. In an industry filled with clones, Mark has created a sound that is unique and rare. His lyrics are worldly in a sense that they are real and words of his life in a poetic form over music. His delivery is sharp and confident. His dedication to expanding the boundaries of southern hip-hop music is the type of ambition that legends are made of. Mark represents what hip-hop will look like, sound like, and feel like for the next 20 years. Sure, that's a bold statement, considering the trendy nature of hip-hop, but Mark Perrion is on a mission to prove that good music doesn't only chart, it lives, and in the process attracts loyal and supportive fans. The type of fans that will tell everyone they know and meet that Mark Perrion’s music is that new thing, that NEXT big thing.
You won’t hear tracks with known artist on any of his work. He is determined to make it alone and isn’t trying to get caught up in the hype and have someone come back claiming to have made him. His music and focus is what is going to make him a success, not rhymes of a local known artist. Not to take away from the talent many Houston artists have or to bash them, it’s just not his mind state right now to have others on his album, maybe in the future but not at this present moment. His album is filled with music produced by great producers and his lyric game, it’s enough for the humble and mild mannered man that Mark Perrion is. Even though he is anonymous to most people outside the state of Texas, and even in Texas, this will change soon.
The Saga will continue, Mark Perrion is back after his hardship and has reloaded with music everyone can listen to. Taking text from Dr. Dre’s life, he has begun the “Aftermath”. Doing right for his Mother and giving her a better life is his driving force. Never one to disappoint his fans, Mark Perrion and Dice Player Pro Federation will soon bring films to the world. Complimenting his rhyming abilities he has skills as a businessman and entrepreneur. Dice Playa Pro Federation will be a force to reckon with in the future.
