I am the new Dawn rising out of New Brunswick, NJ born but mostly grew up in the Newark, NJ areas. I am always said to have a powerful and sensational voice. I’ve been singing for as long as I can remember(a long time). Once I really figured out I could sing it was hard to shut me up. It was also a little hard for people to stop asking me to sing once they’ve heard me.
Singing for large numbers of people of people at a young age aided me into singing for thousands of people today. I’ve always loved emotional, heart throbbing music and songs. But to get the audiences approval every time is what made me, me. Most of the songs I’ve sung and continue to sing are considered Diva songs, even the ones I’ve written. Rather the song was slow, mid-tempo or fast, if it were powerful it had Dawn written all over it.
My genre is R&B with whatever you wish to sprinkle it with, such as Soul, Hip-Hop, Jazz, and Pop… My singing style is a very Soulful Alto with a Sophisticated Sexy Soprano most often compared to: Chaka Khan, Whitney Houston, Mary J. Blige, Gladys Knight, Alicia Keys, Aretha Franklin, and Stephanie Mills. Furthermore, I have been featured on "Showtime at the Apollo" several times!
With focus, dedication, and hustle I can and will sing just about any song that is placed in my hand. If I know I can sing it and you believe I can sing it, then I will.
I am about 5 feet four inches, without my heels, with brown eyes. My hair color sometime changes...I’m not a size 2, but I will catch some eyes!
