Some general things about me are: I love to bake and cook things, however during the week I often feel too tired and as though I don’t have enough time to prepare and cook for 2 hours. I like to host parties and gatherings and will have a shin dig for just about anything, and most often, all of my parties are themed. My parties are where I bake and cook like a madwoman, trying out new recipes and even making up some of my own. My themes are usually the most ridiculous things in the world compared to an adult standard but if you can open your mind enough to have fun with it, they can be some of the most memorable moments of the year. I’ve heard more than a few times the line “I haven’t been to party this fun in a long time†and that’s exactly what I like to do, have fun. But don’t get me wrong, I’m crazy and have my dark moments probably more so than some would think, but I snap back as quickly as I can to my normal nutty ways. I collect too much damn stuff but I love it and can’t help myself! I also probably use and abuse what I collect more than most people do I.E. I always take it out of the box and play with it. I also use the wine glasses and fancy plates and all the things you save for a special occasion all the time. Why bother letting it sit and collect dust?? Use it!! I love music and movies. There was a day that I’d be at a concert every weekend and often 2 or 3 times a week, but anymore I don’t know if I can’t afford it, the bands I like aren’t touring, or I’m just not getting into the new music out, but I’m just usually hanging out at home blasting my music from my stereo. I like the music everyone makes fun of and I don’t care what you think about it, I will match your stupid band song for song in a battle and in the end I will win because the “cock rock†you’re making fun of is great music dip shit, and don’t act like you’re not screaming the lyrics and even at the show every summer at Pine Knob.
I’ve known most of my true friends for years and years and years, there must be something about me that they like but don’t ask me what it is. And then there is Jeff, I’ve been with Jeff forever, it’s just easier to say it that way – forever. It’s hard work, REALLY hard work, but as I quote a line from a cheesy movie I “never give up, never surrenderâ€. I love my friends, although I wish I was a better friend. I love my family, although I wish I was closer with them. I love my job, although I wish I didn’t have to work – but who doesn’t. I love my house, although I wish I would put more effort into taking care of it. And finally, I’m learning to love myself and slowly but surely working on taking care of myself.

Music:
Music has a special place in my heart. Music is what brought Jeff and I together. Music has brought me many great friends, great memories, great pick me ups when I’m down, and great party fun when I’m happy. I love music. I can find a handful of songs I like in any genre, but primarily I like Rock, if you can make it any broader. I mean rap isn’t a high point for me or country, dance music gives me a headache, and pop is so overplayed I’d sometimes rather puke than hear that damn song again. So….rock it is. I grew up on music, my dad was a dj and so in the beginning there was Elvis, Neil Diamond, Mowtown, Leslie Gore, and of course The Beatles. As time went on I got into my own music, Michael Jackson of course, The Bangles, Madonna, T’Pau (remember her??) and then I heard of a couple bands called Bon Jovi and Poison. I asked my dad for some money, walked up to Kmart and bought Slippery When Wet and Open Up and Say Ahh, and that was it, I was hooked. Then we got Mtv………I found out there were others like Poison and Bon Jovi and Holy shit!! They had other albums that came out before the ones I had!!! Then mom and dad got divorced and didn’t have time for music anymore, but I kept on with what I knew and in fact drown myself in it. Then I met Jeff………Jeff came from a more “hippie†style background and opened up a whole new world of music to me and together we learned and loved and became huge music fans together and well, the rest is history I guess. I try to learn more and more music everyday, I can’t get enough of it but I do in fact find myself now going farther back in time instead of rolling with the changes. I promised myself I’d never get out of the loop on music but I just don’t like so much of it anymore, it’s like been there done that.
Movies:
I love movies, I mean who doesn’t? But I really love movies. In fact we have a theater in our home that we built. I call it the tv room, Jeff calls it the theater room, and various other people have a variety of names for it. I suppose I should come up with an official name for it but the thing is, I really don’t care what you call it, I just want to be in it watching some tv! I’m a huge sci fi fan, horror, slasher, gore, suspense……..you know that type of stuff. I absolutely love a good comedy and I love to belt out movies quotes from comedies (and other films) all the time. I also enjoy some independent films and I love the on demand channel on my cable because they play a lot of movies that wouldn’t catch your eye at a movie store, but when you read the descriptions on cable you watch what sometimes is a great movie! I caught Intermission that way and I LOVE that movie more and more every time I watch it. I don’t go to the theater too often, especially since it’s awesome to watch a movie at my house now, so unless it’s something I really want to see I more often than not wait for it to come out at the video store…….unless, it’s summertime. I love to go to the drive in in the summertime, park our chairs next to the car, crack a couple beers, snack on what we brought – hell sometimes we even bring dinner! – and sit back and catch 3 or so movies in one night. It’s so much fun!
Television:
Ahhhh tv. Do you know there are teenagers out there that don’t know a world without the Simpsons?!?!? They’ve been around that long, and I’ve seen just about every episode. I thought tv actually was getting sucky for awhile but lately I’m all over it and thank the good dude for tivo!!! The comeback of American Gladiators – I love it. The whole Sunday night cartoon line up I’ve loved for years. The Office and My Name is Earl brought tv back for me, and Jimmy Kimmel taking over late night rocked! New shows like Reaper, Bionic Woman, Terminator, Top this party, and 10 items or less are set up to record and of course I adore with all my heart LOST!!!!! I also love the theme channels like History, Sci fi, National Geographic, and various others. I like to catch Mythbusters when I can and I’ll always throw on a show about aliens, big foot, the lochness monster, or ghosts. I'm really sick to death of Reality tv but I do like The Hogans, and I watch Rock of Love because I almost think I have to!
Books:
I’m actually proud of myself because over the last year or so I’ve gotten back into reading. Before that I just got in a funk or something and didn’t read much at all. I don’t know how or why I ever did because I love reading and learning interesting things! I don’t read fiction, not really at all. I leave that for the movies. I like biographies, and reference books or “coffee table booksâ€. I’m really getting into history lately too and would like to read some books about the wild west I think. Currently I’m reading a book about the history of serial killers and forensic science, it’s a pretty intricate book and at times even hard to read but very interesting. I have so many books lined up to read that I don’t even know where to start. I’ve read quite a few of the wrestlers books, Mick Foley’s are by far the best. I also love Bukowski and Jizzy Pearl who actually got me into Bukowski. And Jeff and I were just saying we both want to get Slash’s and Nikki Sixx’s new books.
Heroes:
Homer Simpson and Darth Vader - hey I feel sorry for the guy after Episode 3.
