Shades of the Atmosphere is my solo project.I'm from Toronto, Ontario. I'm proficient in playing keyboard, guitar, drums, and in singing. Everything you hear in a song is written by me, albeit inspired by a vast array of musicians and artists, among other people. I use Pro Tools software and hardware, and record, produce, and mix everything myself. I've been writing music since I was young, with little riffs on the piano. When I started playing guitar, fully-fledged songs started to take shape, and then I learned drums and decided I wanted to make my own personal music. I've been in several bands, taking various posts, but normally I'm either a vocalist and rhythm guitarist or a drummer. In 2007, I completed my debut, "1-2-1". In 2008, I released my sophomore effort, "Vortex". As of 2009, I'm writing a third record, with no released date planned. So far, I see the first album as the experiment, seeing what exactly I could do. The second album is the proof of what my potential is. The third and currently incomplete album is the expansion, sort of branching out into different genres although always maintaining the melodies and harmonies that form the core of what I try to achieve. The third untitled effort has over 30 demos currently written.

My inspiration varies a lot (as you can see), but more than anyone, Mike Shinoda of Fort Minor and Linkin Park is the most important, Linkin Park being my favourite band.

There's a lot of variety in my music, encompassing both dark and light aspects of songwriting, but there's two things that I strive for: one, uplifting melodies and harmonies as previously mentioned, and two, taking a cue from Linkin Park, I try to make my songs relatable to listeners. However, every song I write has a deep personal meaning for me. As Mike Shinoda said about Linkin Park's album Minutes to Midnight, "I can't wait for you to absorb all the levels of meaning in the songs, and the layers of music, eventually forming your own ideas about what the songs mean to you."
