About Me
Tone aka Da Silva Tongue Devil
T.N.T. aka THA NASTY TONE...Who is he, and where did he come from? Those are the usual questions, when they hear his music. He was born Tony Williams, in Harlem, New York. His mother told him much later in life, that she knew he was gonna be special due to his date of birth 5/15 at 5:15 weighing in at 5lbs. 15 ounces. T.N.T. fell in love with music by age 5. His stepfather played an influential role in that he was a singer in various R&B groups. Noticing his growing interest in music, his stepfather purchased a guitar for him to strum his own tunes. Groups like KISS, and Queen influenced his music taste, then he was in to Rock N Roll. In the late 70's HIP-HOP was born, and so was T.N.T. Soon he started a Rap group with his brother and cousin after relocating to Daytona Beach, FL becoming known as one of the founders on the local HIP-HOP scene. He then ventured off on his own, becoming one of the most feared MC's on the mic. Disappointed by so many hopeless promises, T.N.T. took some time off to learn more about the business aspect of the industry. After his learning the business aspect of the industry, and raising 5 children, he discovered and regained his passion for HIP-HOP, a passion that just wouldn't die. Overcoming all obstacles to record and become a Rap artist with more flare, he started his own label Fresh Krush Entertainment. Soon he worked on his "soon to be" classic album "Da Silva Tongue Devil." The title has much meaning behind it. The acronym for this album is as follows: Define All Sins In Lies Versus All Truth Over Negativity Give Us Every Dream Every Venture In Life In so many words means the gift of gab, for vocab. More determined and focused than ever, his music began to separate him from the pack. Often compared to L.L. Cool J, his sound takes you to places you can only imagine. His word play is vivid and paints picture in your mind, that make you feel like you're watching a Video Epic. His style reflects many slices of life and blends perfectly to satisfy your appetite, making him "Tha Chef" of his own recipe of "Southern Fried Funk." T.N.T. has been making music for over 25 years, and has opened for such acts as, Salt-N-Pepa, Heavey D & the Boyz, Kwame', D.J. Magic Mike, Starrpoint, Keith Sweat, B.B.D., Public Enemy, Johnny Kemp and of course L.L. Cool J. His music is a breath of fresh air....so once you hear a T.N.T. song, you won't forget him.
