About Me
I was born in Kingston Jamaica and began performing music here at the young age of 14yrs. I was inspired by local talent such as Shabba Ranks, Supercat and Little Lenny. After many positive at school and community events, I began to take an active interest in writing my own songs.
Prior to graduating high school, I met Mr. Patrick Roberts CEO of Shacking Vibes and Personal Manager of Beanie Man. Mr. Roberts liked my music style and allowed me to produce and record my first single titled ‘Resurrection’. This single was a hit throughout The Islands and did well in Europe and North America. This success has lead to my performing with Shacking Vibes, often as their opening act. I had numerous appearances on tv such as Christmas shows, school concerts and various other community events.
In 1992 I visited Toronto to perform in a few shows over a 2wk period and received positive reviews. I returned to Jamaica and continued recording. I performed alongside well known Jamaican acts such as Tante Metro and Devante,Kirk Davis, Beanie Man and numerous others. In 1995, I emigrated to Canada and became active in the Canadian culture and music industry. Since my relocation I have performed throughout Canada. My most recent recording was a duet with two time Juno award winner Sonia Collymore. The title of the song was ‘No Cash Flow’ which was played throughout Canada on commercial and community radio. This song was also included on her Juno Award winning album ‘Wuysiwyg’. I also performed at the Toronto Music Festival, benefit concert for The Sick Children’s Hospital, the Victims of Crime Association of Canada, Flow 93.5 ‘Soul in the Summer’, the Calgary Music Festival along with performaces in Edmonton, Winnipeg, Montreal and other parts of Canada.
In 2005, Sonia and I were nominated for the UMAC Canadian Urban Music Award and performed at the show in Toronto. Hence for the past 8yrs, I have performed throughout Canada and continue to record with support from the community. My first debut album is almost complete and has received many positive reviews from radio personnel, DJ’s and producers. As a result, I am very excited about my future in the music industry. This album is produced by Sparx and D’Maestro from who I am very grateful of their support, dedication and hard work. My dream is to be known as the most creative reggae artist.
God Bless
