It was November of 2003, when two guitarists: Pawel ‘Oko’ Oczkowski and Lukasz ‘Denver’ Jedynski, decided to form the Neverland. First rehearsals took place at Denver’s home. The main equipment were handmade amplifier and neighbor knocking on the wall in the capacity of metronome. That time band decided what to play – traditional thrash metal. Also then, the first band’s ‘child’ was born whose name was ‘Visionary’. In April of 2004 – to the neighbor’s uncontrollable happiness – Neverland finally found their own rehearsal room in Polanica Zdrój. Two musicians – Marko Ilic (dr.) and Sebastian Czarnecki (b.) – joined the band then. At the end of August a singer appeared. It was Marcin ‘Gala’ Galkowski – drummer from Oko’s old band (Mordreth). The first common rehearsal took place at the $th of September 2004. The new singer wrote the lyrics quite quickly and everything became more similar to the Neverland you can hear today. At the beginning of October, Sqter was replaced by Darek ‘Roman’ Horbacewicz – known from one of the parties. Neverland’s music was evolving all the time and there was less and less thrash in the new pieces, what you can see in ‘Phaeton’ for example, where the band decided to use synthesizers for the first time. On the 27th of November, Neverland debuted in one of the local pubs – ‘U Slawnika’ – giving a concert with Cellater. In the middle of February 2005, the band decided to say goodbye to their current drummer – Marko. For some period of time Gala played the drums, till they eventually found Marko’s successor. It was Tomek ‘Burza’ Burzynski, known from ‘Steel Wings’ band. Also then, ‘The Silent Arrival’ arised. At the end of August 2005 Neverland and Burza decide to split and Maciek ‘Speed’ Kedzierski, known from Morior Axis and Cellater, becomes a new drummer. Just then ‘Ophelia’ arises. In November 2005 the Neverland’s site becomes suspended, to return with new, updated layout just in a week.
