Amongst the uprising music and clubbing scenes in Thailand, a group of local DJs and electronic music activists had established themselves as the “Jiving Tribeâ€. Jive is a dance style performed along quick paced and energetic jazz which was popular in the early 1940’s which is similar to the dancing movement of two particular electronic music genres; Drum n’ Bass and Jungle. The word tribe in our title suggests a sense of community and belongingness. Jiving tribe aims to promote all kind of electronic music activities in Thailand especially Drum n’ Bass and Jungle with alternative visions. To present, we have pursued our objectives by event organising, DJ touring, printed media and various internet activities.
