WE are Not Your Average Garden Gnomes. A name that was made by Sam Moggan, who stole it off someone else (name withheld)
We been together for about 3 touching on 4 years. Things started when we were 13 when two younger bands started. This is a long sotry, so be warned. One was called K.O.T and the other was called Deathing Silence. Two rival bands which both never felt complete. K.O.T consited of Jason (vocals) Kris (lead Guitar), Spud (Bass) and Smurf (Drums). Deathing Silence was Andy (guitar), Duzzie (Drums) and Lee (Bass).
After a while both bands split up and that is when it started.
Kris, Duzzie, Andy and old pal Bobble started Northen Comforts.
After the band found out about a gig that was staring them they decided to bring in a front man. That front man was Jason. Bringing an exciting new light into the band they changed there name to Old skool Rupture. Writing a new song called "That Girl Called Mary" it soon became a rather popular song that became there trademark. B after a long, hard fought battle the band split up.
Months later we found word of a "Rock-School" Style opening. We knew that this would be good so we went (with out bassist Bobble) but for some reason the band didnt seem right. Then Daz, an old band member of mine asked if he could join. After playin with him he brought some bad-ass riffs to our band. We then named ourselfs Not Your Average Garden Gnomes.Not Your Average Garden Gnomes - June 2006After winning a Battle of the Bands against Silent Riot and Use Both Hands we did 2 more gigs. Then after that Kris left Andy left and Daz left leaving Jason and Duzzie left. After convincing Andy and Daz to come back we tried again but......Unfortunaly Daz had to leave as he moved house. Richard Maher, the (former) Use Both Hands guitarist decided to fill in for guitar. AND NYAGG WAS REBORN. Weeks later, good o' Kris was returned to us! We're practicing hard for our up and coming gigs. Thanks for reading and...ROCK ON!
Sadly, Kris could find dedication to the band and was kicked out. Luckly a new bassist appeared from the smoke of disillusion...DANNY DANGER!!A few gigs are coming up this summer, be ready for us.P.s.
