About Me

Myspace Countdown Clocks at WishAFriend.comI'm a long time single parent, nose-to-the-grindstone worker(see my blog), recently retired...my youngest son just graduated from high school last year, so this is the beginning of my new adult life. I'm now exploring my artistic side....life is good! I enjoy travel, including foreign travel. I camp when I can and endulge in many outside activities (this IS the beautiful Pacific Northwest!!) including, fishing, biking, kayaking and hiking. I enjoy organic gardening and even have ponds full of plants I tend to as well. I have friends in all age groups, and do spend a lot of time with young adults, so I'm not ready for any rocking chair despite my age...lol...There are not enough hours in the day for me to cram in everything I'd like to be doing. I am health conscious and an exercise junky...I love many forms, but always come back to some kind of aerobics. I don't do tobacco and will not by choice hang out with someone that does!!! I'm happy, secure, and have a full life...I'm not sad, depressed or needy. I do miss having a life partner or "buddy" to go explore life with..no one can have too many friends and a few more with similar interest would be sweet! Thanks for looking, enjoy my photos, I'll change them as I can, I have many cool shots from travels! I just got back from Amsterdam, see photos and videos.

My Interests

Right now I'm into collecting and selling Vintage beads and jewelry, making jewelry and fashion items, world travel, camping, fishing, organic gardening, photography, techie toys, analytical thinking, problem solving, music (music is HUGE in my life..so many artist, so little time), self improvement, human rights, the enviroment, animals (pets...too many and wildlife watching and feeding), SOCCER(trapped in a country that just doesn't get it??) being with friends and family.

I'd like to meet:

Bob Dylan, Einstein (I do have a few questions on what he knows about that Philadelphia Experiment..lol), Ben Franklyn, Angelia Jolie...also,some one that really does know why we are here...lol... Oh, maybe you wanted to know what kind of friends...lol??? I'd like to meet someone with similar interest...I'm sooo craving adult conversation...lol...what IS the meaning of life??? I could use a crony with whom to discover Oregon's back roads and points of interest...this could just be a "friends" thing...like I said above....no one can have too many friends...and besides...mischief needs company!!! :)

Music:

Jazz, Love everything by Brooklyn Funk Essentials, Liquid Soul and Greyboy Allstars, I also can't live without my techno, house, ska, and reggae...on the other side, I do still have times for classical and of course, good old rock and roll. I groove on the music of my friend Richard Swift (yes, I really do know him)...you should check him out for sure!! And Lafa Taylor rocks my world, and you should check him out too. Other favorites include Bob Dylan, Neal Young, Sting, Dave Matthews Band, Michael Frenti, Johnny Cash, Tom Petty, Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, Black Eye Peas, Talib Kweli and Bob Marley...I'll update more soon.
