My Interests

Music:

Band Website: n/a
Band Members: well there just ain't any at the moment, hint hint
Influences: I've been in a bunch'a bands and loved every one! Not mentioning the gospel stuff the bands were: Vacation in Dresden/Mohair/Cassius King/ Uniform Response/Some Several Dwarts/Seagoe. I also wrote the lyrics/melodies for the songs Be A Man, Aimless, Sunset Blvd., and Nobody Knows Nothin'. .. Biggest influence? is my big g God (trinity, flood, crown of thorns, fire and brimstone kinda stuff) and his not so hard to sing along with TOP 10 hits (i made that up- get it? Thou shalt not da da da). i like all kinds of diverse music from classical to disco to heavy metal. i grew up mostly listening to gospel with a bit of rock (Rolling Stones to Jethro Tull) and pop (Michael J. to Anne Murray etc. etc.) thrown in just to mess up my mind lol. I've been listening to singers from all different nationalities my whole life and hear music in all the world accents/languages. People thought i was nuts in the 70's- white chick rockin out to Punjabi music....but i've been a slumdog all my life. Anyone who tries to do the right thing morally gets my attention (i have Adult ADHD - so that's saying something) The people who i admire most though, are people who don't care about wealth or skin colour, disability or what someone's religion or lack thereof. i like people who really try to make a difference. honest people, people who are accepting...musical people (ha ha) and people who do good for goodness sake- not for the glory.
Sounds Like: a lot of times it depends on the song but i've been told....cranberries, janis joplin, an angel (joking), you know it's never the same "you sound like": people always say the strangest things.. anyway here's my story....According to my Mom i was born singing. i've been in numerous Toronto bands and got to play at Larry's Hideway just before they tore it down. played on CIUT a few times and did the rounds of the Bev, Clintons etc etc in the early 80's and a few years ago i also got to play on a roof at the Danforth Music Festival which was way cool. I've been performing in all kinds of stuff my whole life (singing Beatles songs in a clown suit at the Dufferin Mall was fun!) the songs on this site are first takes or very early ones which is my favorite way to record and were recorded when i was in a band called Seagoe. Unfortunately i can't put up any of my other band music cause i'm computerly challenged in a BIG WAY. i see my voice as a gift from God that i share with a gazillion of other singers in our world. i didn't pay for it with sweat or hard work or tears, it was given to me on a silver platter and i am grateful. God gave me the gift of music just like he did to lots of you my friends! i have never heard such wonderful and diverse and NEW music and it's really amazing that we can all share our music now. so basically i love to sing and always will even if no one hears me............. A SURVEY I DID 1. Grab the book nearest to you, turn to page 18, and quote line 4. "Gothic architecture comes between the Romanesque and Renaisance, or revival of the classic ." 2. Stretch your left arm out as far as you can. What's there? Computer monitor. 3. What is the last thing you watched on TV? CBC documentary about the current (2007) Taliban strongholds in Afghanistan. 4. With the exception of the computer, what can you hear? raindrops on roses..no just kidding, the baby monitor. 5. When did you last step outside? What were you doing? About 1/2 hour ago on the front porch...cking out the weather. 6. Before you started this survey, what did you look at? The person's answers who forwarded it to me (Kayla). 7. What are you wearing? One of my favorite second hand store finds: a Backstreet Boys black tour t-shirt from 1998(the year i got married). i wasn't really a fan...but it has all the boys w their autographs and it's fun to wear AND.... the funkiest pr of balloon pants imaginable- you gotta see em to believe em....go ahead request a pic and i'll put it up ha ha! 8. Did you dream last night? no, but i remember waking up every 2 secs and thinking sheeeze it's hotter than H-E-double hockey sticks. 9. When did you last laugh? the last time i looked in the mirror. 10. What is on the walls of the room you are in? An old map of Aruba, apple clock, laminated movie posters ("The Cooler" and "Hoffa") and a small frame w seeds in it from a PowWow that i went to with my foster girls. 11. Seen anything weird lately? frogs eggs (i think) in jelly like goo on our blow up boat when we were up north. 12. What do you think of this quiz? Well, i never do these (typing is a bit difficult for me) but the first question got me goin....i love books and it seems they're dying a sloooooooow death. 13. What is the last film you saw? a foreign film (unless of course you live in that country, ha ha ) called "The Experiment" (very cool, i like reading movies cause you never miss a line) 14. If you became a multi-millionaire overnight, what would you buy? I would spend the whole enchilada so that somewhere in this world people who aren't eating could, if only for one day. (or buy the souls of government officials who could make it happen ha ha) i have more than enough thank you, debt and all and NOTHING to complain about. i certainly wouldn't keep it. 15. Tell me something about you that I don't know: As a Christian, most people don't realize that we fight off all the same temptations and demons and fall from grace just like everybody else. We're not perfect, so cut us some slack man! lol. 16. If you could change one thing about the world, regardless of guilt or politics, what would you do? If i had the power, i would banish big bad Satan (sorry all you Satanists out there!) to another realm where he could chill (ha ha) all by his self. 17. Do you like to dance? In my youth...i was a disco queen on orange juice (drinking makes me puke lol)....but lately...ah no just with words! 18. Imagine your first child is a girl, what do you call her? If i had ever had a girl i would've called her Sara because the biblical Sara had a child late in life after praying for many many years for a child.....just like i did (i was 45 when we became parents of a wonderful boy through the miracle of adoption, he is truly an answer to my hearts greatest desire). 19. Imagine your first child is a boy, what do you call him? We call our son by the name his biological parents gave him....which (are you ready for this?) is the same name as my paternal grandfather....Arthur. 20. Would you ever consider living abroad? not really.... because Canada is the greatest country on the planet!! 24. What do you want to say to God when you reach the pearly gates? Thanks for everything Lord good and bad..... I Love You.
Record Label: they're getting back to me..lol
