About Me

The Drastic Plastic Program has been broadcasting on Montreal Quebec's CKUT 90.3
since the station's FM birth in 1987. Hatched from a dream to rival the city’s local classic rock radio stations, DP has remained true to its mission statement. Give Good Radio. Its fuel? First and foremost, Rock and Roll. Sweat-soaked t-shirt rock and roll. Ham-fisted three chord chugging rock and roll. Beer-spilling, pogo-pounding, dolphin-chortling rock and roll. After broadcasting hundreds of band profiles focusing on the indie rock scene from London to New York, Cleveland to Los Angeles, the program has traveled from the sound of snotty nosed wailing brat bastards to the wailings of feedback frenzied - sonic skronk guitars to the wailings of honeysuckled hayseed twang-core. All this without forgetting the program’s devotion to the finely crafted pop song. The sugar tune delight. The Drastic Plastic Program’s original host Doug Ford is still behind the microphone, his ears still intact after years of being stuffed into Sennheisers. Nowadays, Doug has enlisted two new contributors to the Program. Mark B. from the Rock and Roll Report and Armitage Shanks with their respective looks at power pop rock and the British U.K.music scene. As the Drastic Plastic Program’s Three Amigos, they subscribe to the idea .. Does the song trigger a neck'n'head nod? Does it make your toe tap? Then let’s play it. The Drastic Plastic Program broadcasts 60 minutes live on Monday nights at 10 PM on CKUT 90.3 FM in Montreal. You can also listen on the internet at CKUT
, or even download it as a podcast. Check it out.I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4
