About Me

I went from playing piano to making music with a computer to making music without a computer to not making music at all!!
I definitely feel that you can experience certain things while playing music that you would never be able to do otherwise. In other words, music is definitely a spiritual activity for me and it allows me to release things which I could never express in words, hence the lack of lyrics.
On a more technical note, I mainly play piano and a bit of percussion, and use a computer for overdubs but most of the music I'm creating at the moment doesn't need a computer!
Growing up, I went through phases where I sometimes zoned in one genre of music and studied it so closely that sometimes I would forget about the music! I also went through periods where I would just play music without "thinking" either alone or with friends (it was always original music though) and realized that being a musician could allow you to extract things about yourself that you would not be able to see otherwise.
Music can be very addictive and you're always better off if you don't become addicted to what you do to the extent that it does not allow you to grow. From my experience, I learned much more things when I could not care less about music.
I see myself as a modern musician/creative consultant/chameleon who can fit in different settings.
As far as live performance is concerned, I do not have a band or anything but I occasionally perform with the Montreal based Kalmunity Vibe Collective- www.kalmunity.com
