Underighter’s Lab currently consists of one member: Xerogravity.[pronounced "zerogravity"]
If anybody were to approach Xerogravity and ask him to explain in one word what Underighter’s Lab is all about, he’d tell you straight out: UNITY. This vision, which stems back to 2004, while Xero was working in a punch press machine shop and just passing the time by praising and worshipping God. Three years later, the challenging journey of Underighter’s Lab continues, and hopes to build an alliance of Holy Hip Hop artists in the state of California is what drives it’s founder to continue this sometimes frustrating journey.
"I’m realizing that people in general don’t understand vision until there is some form of manifestation from this vision...in this case: they wanna see, touch, and hear a tangible product i.e. a CD. This has been the frustrating part for me because i’m not a pushy individual...i’m rather flexible when it comes to working as a team."
"People probably have this idea that I wanna do collabs with them. My intention is far beyond this narrow mindset. I wanna build with these artists and become a group atmosphere that works together to produce albums, perform locally, and make cutting edge music videos...putting Christ in the spotlight. This is the great comission given to us by CHRIST His self in the book of Matthew. Being a Christian and a hip hop head doesn’t mean yelling "Jesus" 200 times on each song. There are clever ways of marketing the Gospel of Christ within a three and a half minute song. I encourage all the viewers of this page to REALLY listen to the songs posted here, and tell me if the name of Christ is still the focus."
