Genevieve Wilkins is an Australian born freelance percussionist who is based in London. She has performed in venues as diverse as the Royal Festival Hall, Latitude and Rise Festivals, the Sydney Opera House, as well as under the stars for remote communities in the Western Desert of Australia, to various high-profile nightclubs and bars, such as Cargo and Notting Hill Arts Club in London.
Genevieve is the percussionist for the west end show “Never Forget: The Musical†and is also the percussionist with pop singer and actress, Karen David. Genevieve has recently become a member of ensemblebash, UK's Premiere Percussion Ensemble. She is also a founding member of Alcazaba: a fusion of Spanish Flamenco with North Indian and Middle Eastern instruments. Genevieve has also performed with and/or recorded with DJ Pathaan, DJ Panko (Ojos de Brujo), Sam Sharp’s Pack of Six, Melanie Robinson, Gavin Bryars, Steve Schick, Tetrafide Percussion, Attad Haddad Quintet, Fiesta Flamenca with flamenco dancer Juan Polvillo, Ensemble Pi, John Crawford Quintet, Inklein Quartet, Ed Laurie, Yves Mesnil Trio. Genevieve’s orchestral credits include the Malaysian Philharmonic, West Australian Symphony Orchestra and Australian Youth Orchestra. She was a musician in the London Shakespeare Globe Theatre's 2008 production of "A Midsummer Night's Dream" and is currently an Outreach Mentor for the Royal College of Music.
