A project with A Past
The precursor for the ShoutedFM concept was initiated on December 4th, 2002. Mike Hoffmann founded a new project called MTH1, which soon became one of the most renowned and largest internet streaming entities in Europe.MTH1 grew exponentially, and in the beginning of the year 2003, there was a fusion between MTH1 and an internet radio station called Radio Revolution, creating an internet radio station called “Shouted”.Shouted Club was the first section of Shouted to be developed. This section contains music selections consisting of trance, techno, dance, house, gabber, clubhouse, and other electronica music forms.Soon after, another internet radio station called Radio bEaT merged with Shouted to form the name ShoutedBeat on May 1, 2003. Only one month later, the chief of the further Radio bEaT left the project, and the radio name was changed into ShoutedBeats in association to shouted beats (shouted was the winner) At the same time, another new category was formulated called Blackstream: a stream which only plays black music.As ShoutedBeats became increasingly popular, we realized that it would be highly beneficial to change our streaming software into our own created server software called SHN.Our listeners were searching for more information about online gaming, and we responded by creating a section called Livestream for coverage of multiplayer and other online gaming.For simpler and more efficient navigation, we redesigned ShoutedBeats in early 2005, and decided to change the name of the site from the somewhat restrictive name “ShoutedBeats” to the current "ShoutedFM" name. ShoutedFM currently netcasts 6 different musical content genres with several thousand listeners per day worldwide.

One of our moderators said: ShoutedBeats is the perfect mix of radio as you know it and a project for youth on the internet And we want to incorporate the professionalism of radio and the spontaneity of youth in our internet streams.
Ein Projekt mit Vergangenheit
Am 04. Dezember 2002 wurde der Grundstein für ShoutedFM gelegt: Mike Hoffmann gründete ein Streamprojekt, damals noch unter dem Namen MTH1. Aus diesem Kind ist inzwischen eine der größten Streamingplattformen Europas entstanden. ShoutedFM sendet weltweit auf 5 Kanälen mit mehren tausend Zuhörern am Tag, rund um die Uhr.Der große Ansturm auf MTH1 führte Anfang 2003 zur Fusion mit Radio Revolution zum neuen Radio Shouted. Kurze Zeit später, um den Ruf der Zuhörer gerecht zu werden, eröffnete der erste Spartensender Shouted Club. Am 1. Mai 2003 folgte eine Fusion mit dem Radio bEaT zu ShoutedBeat, die Umbenennung in ShoutedBeats (Shouted beats wie Shouted gewinnt) folgte nur knapp einen Monat später (28.05.2003) mit Trennung der Leitung von bEaT. Gleichzeitig wurde der Blackstream zum Leben erweckt. Jetzt ging es erst richtig los: Um den immer größer werdenden Ansturm gerecht zu werden, stellte ShoutedBeats am 7. Dezember 2003 auf die eigene Serversoftware SHN um. Als sich die Nachfragen der Spielescene nach einem eGaming und Coverage Stream häuften, entschloss sich ShoutedBeats für Events jeder Art auch einen Livestream zu stellen. Da es schwierig wurde fünf Streams, die eigentlich ein großes Radio sind zu lenken, teilte sich ShoutedBeats in fünf Streams einer Plattform: Diese Plattform ist ShoutedFM. Von da an kamen noch zwei Streams dazu: mth.Break als interaktiven Jungendstream zum bouncen und mth.Electro für Liebhaber elektronischer Musik. mth.Live wurde zugunsten eines auf komplett 24/7 Nonstop Music ausgerichteten Senders eingestellt.
Die Philosophie von ShoutedFM
Einer unser Moderatoren sagte einmal: ShoutedBeats ist die richtige Mischung aus UKW-Radio und Jugendstream im Internet. Genau das ist es, was wir mit unserer Arbeit bei ShoutedFM weiterführen wollen: Die Professionalität eines UKW-Radios und dabei die Spontanität und die Offenheit der Jugend auf den Streams nicht aus den Augen verlieren.
