About Me

I recently moved from NYC back to NJ and pass my time as a DJ, producer, & event coordinator and I run United Sound Records, an indie dance music label. By day I am a freelance Audio Specialist. I design and install integrated systems in clubs, restaurants, banquet halls - you name it. I love making and running wires, flicking that switch, and bringing music to people's ears. I have also been employed by The World Famous Waiting Room in Rahway NJ for 9 years as a bartender, the in-house sound designer, resident DJ, event coordinator and poster-maker. I work hard.I have been involved in the underground dance community since 1993, immediately being introduced to the behind-the-scenes operations at my first event. I started DJing and hosting nights in 1995, doing my best to offer something of quality and of positivity to a culture that has provided me with so much.In the early years, aside from DJing I ran sound and programmed lights for a ton of Raves, nightclubs and lounges. Owning a sound system let me travel and put together a lot of great parties in the area. I produced, hosted, and performed at fund-raiser events to raise awareness and dollar support for The Kailo Mantua Art Center, as well as for RAINN - the Rape, Abuse, and Incest National Network, founded by Tori Amos..In around the year 2000 I sold my sound system and lights to build a studio, which ushered in a decade of music production and expression as an artist, which continues today.I am thankful to have played at some amazing events around the world and in different cities here in the US. I find that even in countries where we know not a lick of each others' languages, once that music starts, it's a common language that let's us all communicate on every sensory level. I can't say that I have any one favorite place to play but New York has been my musical home and I truly Love the underground community that I've watched grow from the NASA era through now. There were many before me, there will be many after. What's important to me and indeed to us is to welcome newcomers, not alienate them, and continue to spread the music and the special vibe that comes with it.When I'm not connecting through music, I spend time outdoors practicing primitive survival skills and learning about the spirituality, philosophy, and life of Native Americans and other indigenous peoples. I am a student of Tom Brown's Tracking, Nature, and Wilderness Survival School. I'm no expert, but an enthusiast seeking experience and knowledge. I have been on a quest for the truth and I find it in Nature. I have long searched to find the common thread that links all religions, people, and cultures together, instead of tearing us apart.I live a Hybrid Life, and finding the balance between my Love and passion for the highly-forward-thinking world of music, and the simple ways of the Wilderness that calls me home, is ever my mission.Love and Light: ChuckTaken from my previous My Space Profile:
---WHO I'D LIKE TO MEET---
Besides people who *still* love Progressive House Music, Tori Amos, NYC, and The Great Outdoors...People who like outer space and believe in life on other planets. People who understand pain. People who are not afraid of having their core beliefs challenged, people who do what they say they are going to do, people who walk their talk, people who don't half-step, people who are genuine, admit when their wrong, and speak up when they know they are right...People who aren't afraid to ask for help, and who return the favor. People who don't think 30 miles is a long way to come visit a friend. People who aren't afraid to drive in NYC, and all its boroughs. People who are NOT lazy, who don't sit on their ass wasting their lives in front of the TV. People with resolve. People with the brass, and the sand. People who listen when I speak, and who make sure I'm listening when they speak. People who don't think that they are superior, and people who are comfortable in their own skin. People who Love. People who are honest with themselves, and unashamed. People who are not afraid to end or begin a relationship. Real People...People like me.
