Achieving a BTEC National Diploma in Music and Performing Arts at Brooklands College, Mike applied and auditioned for Reading College Kings Road Campus. Enrolling and studying HNC Popular Music Performance. Mike joined and performed in and around Reading with the band Young Blood, recording a Demo CD at the Running Frog studios in Windsor. Returning to London in November 2005 and working with various artists and bands, attending auditions, basically trying to find the right set up. Joined a Manchester band, The Jacks, during their visit to London in January 2006. The Jacks spent two months rehearsing and creating material at the Bush studios, Shepherds Bush, London. To keep costs down the band moved to Manchester, at the end of March 06. The Jacks continued rehearsing at the Green Rooms in Manchester with occasional visits to London to showcase. Mike created and performed the drum patterns on the following recorded tracks, Ten a Penny, Blue Marble, Twist the Knife, Couldn't Care Less, The Styx, Holes For Eyes and In the Night. The tracks were Recorded at the Premises Studios, London E2, during July and September 2006.
Back to London October 2006, for a dentist appointment and holiday at home, Mike met up and joined a newly formed band of very talented musicians, Hot Wax and Champagne. After approximately 12 hours total rehearsal time they recorded three tunes, Hello, Lost Forever and Giving Up Today. Gigs followed in and around London. Further tracks were recorded by the band at Bona Fide studios in London. The band did a home recording in the basement of an East End London Club with surprising results using limited resources....
